Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with paging auto-acknowledgement are described. According to one embodiment, a method for performing paging auto-acknowledgement includes transmitting according to a protocol, on a first channel, a synchronization packet to a slave device, where the synchronization packet specifies a second channel on which a subsequent packet will be transmitted to the slave device. The protocol specifies that the slave device send an acknowledgement to the synchronization packet on the first channel prior to switching to the second channel. The method includes, when predetermined automatic acknowledgement criteria are met, transmitting the subsequent packet to the slave device on the second channel in the absence of an acknowledgement to the synchronization packet from the slave device.

Paging auto-acknowledgement

The present disclosure describes methods and apparatus for wirelessly connecting a plurality of devices for communication in a network. A wireless transceiver device can attempt to wirelessly connect to another wireless transceiver device using a first technique or a second technique. At various times while performing the first technique and the second technique, one or both of the wireless transceiver devices can listen for packets for the different techniques concurrently. In response to receiving a particular type of packet used by the second technique, the wireless transceiver device interrupts the first technique to perform the second technique to connect to another wireless transceiver device (from which the particular type of packet was received). The wireless transceiver device can then proceed with again attempting to wirelessly connect to another wireless transceiver device using the first technique.

Methods, apparatus, and device for wirelessly connecting a plurality of devices for communication in a network

An example embodiment includes an apparatus. The apparatus includes piconet logic for establishing a multi-level piconet hierarchy having a top level piconet and a lower level piconet(s). The top level piconet includes a master device and master controller(s). The lower level piconet includes master controllers(s) and sub-controller(s). The apparatus includes time division multiplexing logic to solicit and control aggregated communication with master controllers. The aggregated communication comprises data from the master controller and data from a sub-controller(s).

Multi-level piconet data aggregation

An example embodiment includes an apparatus. The apparatus includes piconet logic for establishing a multi-level piconet hierarchy having a top level piconet and a lower level piconet(s). The top level piconet includes the apparatus and a master controller(s). The apparatus is a master device in the top level piconet. Master controllers are slave devices in the top level piconet. A lower level piconet includes a master controller and a sub-controller(s). Master controllers are masters in the lower level piconet. Sub-controllers are slave devices in the lower level piconet. The apparatus includes time division multiplexing logic to solicit and control aggregated communication with master controllers. The aggregated communication comprises data from the master controller and data from a sub-controller(s). The apparatus includes de-aggregation logic to receive the aggregated communication and to separate data.
