A method for managing a memory associated with PCIe SSD including: generating memory pools of equal size from a predefined size of contiguous physical memory, each of the memory pools manages a memory request of different size and is associated with a respective predefined size of memory request; dividing each of the memory pools into first set of memory pages, each having a size equal to maximum size among the predefined size of the memory request associated with the respective memory pool; dividing each of the first set of memory pages into second set of memory pages, each having a size equal to the predefined size of the memory request associated with respective memory pool; and managing the contiguous physical memory by allocating a memory page from the second set of memory pages fora memory request corresponding to the size of the second set of memory pages.

Method and system for managing memory associated with a peripheral component interconnect express (PCIE) solid-state drive (SSD)

A method and device are provided for closing a port site incision after a minimally invasive surgical procedure is performed. The closure device includes an access device and a suture needle. A body of the access device has a proximal portion and a distal portion and defines a channel that extends between the proximal and distal portions. A head of the access device is supported on the proximal portion of the body. The suture needle includes a shaft having a proximal portion and a distal portion, and a curved portion that extends from the distal portion of the shaft and includes a tip configured to penetrate tissue. The shaft extends through and is movable within a slot in the head to move the curved portion of the suture needle from an inactive position located within the channel to an active position positioned located externally of the channel.

Method and device for closing a port site incision

A port site closure instrument includes a pair of wings and a body having proximal, central, and distal portions. The proximal portion defines a proximal suture aperture and first and second needle apertures. The central portion defines third and fourth needle apertures. A first needle channel is defined through the body communicating the first and third needle apertures. A second needle channel is defined through the body communicating the second and fourth needle apertures. The distal portion defines distal suture apertures. A first suture channel is defined by the body communicating the proximal and distal suture apertures. The pair of wings is pivotally supported by the distal portion of the body. Each of the wings define a suture slot such that a suture exiting one of the distal suture apertures and positioned in the suture slots is aligned with one of the first or second needle channels.

Port site closure instrument

A surgical closure apparatus for facilitating closure of a wound includes an outer member dimensioned for positioning within a wound opening and defining a central longitudinal axis, and having a first longitudinal passage and a second longitudinal passage, a needle assembly at least partially disposed within the first longitudinal passage of the outer member, and a suture configured for at least partially closing the wound opening and extending at least partially through the second longitudinal passage of the outer member. The needle assembly includes a needle drive and a suture needle mounted to the needle drive and coupled to the suture. The suture needle is adapted for rotational movement relative to the central longitudinal axis between an unarmed condition and an armed condition through manipulation of the needle drive. The suture needle is positioned for passage through tissue adjacent the wound opening when in the armed condition.

Surgical wound closure apparatus

A wound closure device includes a shaft, a needle, and a housing. The needle includes a first leg portion coupled to a distal end of the shaft, a curved portion, and a second leg portion including a needled end portion terminating at a needle tip. The housing includes a first channel slidingly engaged with the elongated body of the shaft and a second channel slidingly engageable with the second leg portion of the needle. The second channel terminates at an opening defined within a notched section defined in a proximal portion of the housing. The needle is movable to a covered position in which the needle tip is disposed within the second channel of the housing, an advanced position in which the needle tip is disposed distal to the housing, and a retracted position in which the needle tip is disposed within the notched section of the housing.
