A device may receive, from a first device, a port control protocol (PCP) request that includes a customer side translator (CLAT) prefix and one or more private internet protocol version X (IPvX) addresses. The PCP request may be received via an internet protocol version Y (IPvY) network. The device may store the CLAT prefix and the one or more private IPvX addresses using a data structure. The device may receive a packet that includes a private IPvX of the one or more private IPvX addresses and a private IPvY address that includes the CLAT prefix and a second instance of the private IPvX address. The device may use an application layer gateway (ALG). The device may translate the private IPvX address to a public IPvX address using the CLAT prefix. The device may provide the packet that includes the public IPvX address to a second device that supports IPvX.

Translation between a first version of internet protocol and a second version of internet protocol when an application layer gateway (ALG) is involved

A network device may receive an IPv6 packet that includes an IPv6 source address and an IPv6 destination address. The network device may determine, based on the IPv6 packet including an extension header that includes an address prefix option, whether to translate the IPv6 packet into an IPv4 packet. Additionally, based on a determination to translate the IPv6 packet into the IPv4 packet, the network device generates an IPv4 packet that includes an IPv4 source address and an IPv4 destination address. Because the PLAT unit may make the determination whether to translate the IPv6 packet into an IPv4 packet based on the IPv6 packet including the address prefix option instead of based on the IPv6 source address including a customer-translation (CLAT) source prefix, it may be unnecessary to distribute the CLAT source prefix to the network device.

Customer-side and provider-side translation of Internet Protocol addresses without pre-shared prefixes

The present invention relates to silicone epoxy compositions, methods for making same and uses therefore. In one embodiment, the silicone epoxy ether compositions of the present invention are silane epoxy polyethers that contain at least one epoxy functionality. A copolymer suitable for use in forming a solid polymer electrolyte film comprising a first monomer represented by Formula (1): wherein n is 2 to 1,000; m is 2 to 1,000; x and y are individually 1 to 100; p is 0 to 10; and q is 1 to 10, Ris an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and A is an alkyl acryloyl group an acryloyl group, alkyl acryloyl group, methacryloyl group, alkyl methacryloyl group, a vinyl group, an allyl group, a styryl group, or a combination of two or more thereof; and a second monomer chosen from a hydroxyl-substituted alkyl acrylate, a hydroxyl-substituted alkyl methacrylate, or a combination of two or more thereof. The copolymer may be used to form a solid polymer electrolyte composition comprising (i) the copolymer, (ii) a plasticizer, and (iii) a salt. The solid polymer electrolyte may be used to form a solid polymer electrolyte film, which may be suitable for use in electrochemical devices.
