Some embodiments are directed to a vehicle console for use with an electronic device having a cord. The vehicle console can be disposed adjacent a storage area for storing the electronic device. The vehicle console can include a compartment that is defined by a front portion, a bottom portion, and a back portion, the front and back portions being spaced apart so as to define an open area therebetween, the back portion defining an opening that is contiguous with the storage area such that the opening is configured to receive the cord therethrough, the bottom portion defining a channel that is configured to receive the cord. The vehicle console can also include a port disposed at the front portion of the compartment and configured to connect with the cord. The vehicle console can further include a removable cover overlaid across the channel.

Cord management system, and methods of use and manufacture thereof

A storage assembly for an associated vehicle includes a pocket for storing associated articles. A lid is pivotally secured and selectively positionable between an open position that allows access to the pocket and a closed position that covers the pocket. The lid has an inner, first surface that coincides with a maximum fill line of the pocket when the lid is in the closed position, a recess formed in the first surface of the lid adjacent a first edge of the lid, and an object bumper extending adjacent at least a portion of the recess for preventing the associated articles from interfering with pivotal movement of the lid relative to the pocket.

A shelfless sliding and removable cup holder assembly for a vehicle includes a console structure disposed within the vehicle. The console structure includes first and second lateral side walls defining a storage bin therebetween. The first lateral side wall defines a recessed track. The cup holder assembly further includes cup holder member slidably and removably mounted within the console structure. The cup holder member has a guide removably received in the recess track and slidably movable along the recessed track.

A sliding and pivoting armrest assembly for a vehicle console includes a closure member pivotally mounted to the vehicle console, an armrest member slidably mounted to the closure member, and a latching device for selectively latching the closure member in a closed position. The latching device includes at least one latching member selectively receivable in at least one latching aperture defined in the closure member, at least one pushing member disposed on the closure member and moveable to remove the at least one closure member from the at least one latching aperture, and an actuator moving the at least one pushing member.

Some embodiments are directed to a storage assembly for use with a vehicle that includes a front instrument panel. The storage assembly can include a housing defining an interior space and a front exterior surface; and an external storage portion disposed adjacent the front exterior surface of the housing. The external storage portion can define an open storage area extending between the front exterior surface of the housing and the front instrument panel. The storage assembly can also include a moveable storage receptacle that defines a movable storage area. The moveable storage receptacle can be configured to move between a closed position in which at least a portion of the moveable storage receptacle is disposed within the interior space of the housing, and an open position in which at least a portion of the moveable storage receptacle is disposed proximate the open storage area.

Vehicular storage assembly and methods of use and manufacture thereof

A pocket assembly for accommodating a portable electronic device in a vehicle includes a storage compartment and at least one port disposed within the storage compartment for operatively connecting to the portable electronic device. The storage compartment is disposed within the vehicle and is defined by at least one wall. An aperture is defined in the at least one wall for receiving an excess portion of a connecting cord adapted to operatively connect the portable electronic device to the at least one port.

Vehicle pocket assembly

A vehicle storage compartment assembly including a housing defining a storage compartment with an upward facing opening, a first closure pivotally mounted to the housing for movement between a pivot closed position and a pivot open position, and a second closure slidably and pivotally mounted to the housing for movement among a slide closed position, a slide open position and a pivot open position. The first closure covers a first portion of the upward facing opening when in the pivot closed position and the second closure covers a second portion of the upward facing opening when in the slide closed position.

Movement of the sliding lid is slidingly restricted by guide rails. The guard includes a body and a wiper section that has a contact edge. The guard is secured to the center console and disposed above the sliding lid and prevents objects from riding on the sliding lid past the guard.

A phone holding assembly adapted to hold a mobile telephone and including an outer member and an inner member. The outer member includes a series of mounting tabs that are adapted to releasably secure the phone holding assembly to a panel. The inner member includes mounting ears that extend through openings in the outer member to releasably secure the inner member to the outer member. When the inner member is secured within the outer member, a phone of a first size can be received therein, while when the inner member is removed from the outer member, a phone of a second, larger size can be held.

A center console assembly including a rear wall and a pair of sidewalls, the sidewalls being interconnected at a forward end thereof by a bar member assembly. The bar member assembly includes an upper bar member and a lower bar member. The upper bar member defines a first catch that a latch of an upper lid is releasably secured thereto. The lower bar member defines a second catch that a latch of a front panel assembly is secured thereto. The front panel assembly and sidewalls cooperate to releasably retain the front panel assembly in a partially open position or a full open position. The front panel assembly holds a mobile telephone and other small items, such stored items being accessible when the front panel assembly is in one of the open positions.
