A person support apparatus comprises a lower frame, a support, and an upper frame. The support is coupled to the lower frame. The upper frame has a head section and a foot section and defines a longitudinal axis passing through the head section and the foot section and a lateral axis substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The upper frame includes a tilt mechanism pivotably coupling the upper frame to the support. The tilt mechanism includes a base and a rocker nested within the base. The base and the rocker are pivotable with respect to one another about a pivot axis that passes through the base and the rocker and is substantially parallel the longitudinal axis. The upper frame is pivotable about the pivot axis with respect to the lower frame.

Transfer assist apparatus

A siderail assemblyfor a bedincludes a link P pivotably connectable to a bed frame at a joint PF and to a rail at a joint PR. The link P has at least one reaction surface. The assembly also includes a link R having a rail endand a common end. The rail end of link R is pivotably connected to the rail at a joint RR. The assembly also includes a link Q having a frame endand a common end. The frame end of link Q is pivotably connected to the frame at a joint QF. The common ends of link Q and link R are pivotably connected to each other at a joint A constrained to move substantially parallel to the reaction surface.

Liquid dispensing handle

A broom hub is provided for use as a component in the manufacture of brooms which includes a wire retention mechanism. Generally, brooms include a handle, a plurality of bristles extending therefrom, and a wire wrapped around the bristles to secure the bristles to the handle. Specifically, the broom hub of this invention includes a sleeve for receiving the handle and a wire retention mechanism disposed on a sleeve. Preferably, the wire retention mechanism is configured to grasp the wire. Accordingly, the bristles are secured to the handle between the broom hub and the wire.
