An ostomy pouch having a cavity for storing stomal output. The cavity is defined by a rear wall and a front wall joined at their peripheries and formed of flexible sheet material. The ostomy pouch further comprises a sheet of woven comfort material covering the outside surface of the front wall. The sheet of comfort material has an outside surface and an opposite inside surface, and the outside surface of the sheet of comfort material forms at least part of the outside surface of the pouch. The inside surface of the sheet of comfort material is laminated across its entire surface to a continuous layer of film material. At least part of the continuous layer of film material is adjacent, facing and unbonded to the outside surface of the front wall.

Ostomy pouch

Provided herein are adhesive compositions comprising: 1) at least one adhesive of an alcohol-functionalized acrylic adhesive, an alcohol-functionalized silicone adhesive, a carboxyl-functionalized acrylic adhesive, and a carboxyl-functionalized silicone adhesive, 2) at least one phase-separated hydrophilic material, and 3) at least one bioactive compound. At least one bioactive compound may comprise an antimicrobial agent. The adhesive compositions can quickly release an antimicrobial agent and cause the rapid onset of antimicrobial effects. Also provided are adhesive products and methods using the disclosed adhesive composition.

Medical adhesives for quick release of antimicrobials

Adhesives comprising rubber, tackifier, oil, and optionally absorbent and active ingredient are described. The adhesives are suitable for medical applications as they are repositionable on skin. Also described are medical articles using the adhesives.

Rubber-based soft gel skin adhesives

Various adhesive compositions are described which may optionally comprise one or more active agents such as pharmaceutical agents. The incorporation of one or more absorbents in combination with one or more crystallization inhibitors improves adhesive characteristics of the compositions. Also described are related methods of improving adhesive characteristics of adhesive compositions with the use of a combination of absorbent and inhibitor. Also described are related methods of using the compositions and articles incorporating such compositions.

Catheter dressing

A two-phase adhesive composition and selective debonding agent are described. The adhesive composition comprises a substantially continuous first phase comprising a pressure sensitive adhesive and a discontinuous second phase comprising crosslinked silicone gel microparticles. When applied, the selective debonding agent is absorbed by the gel microparticles. The gel microparticles change size or shape and facilitate debonding the adhesive from a substrate by decreasing the contact area between the adhesive and the substrate. Methods to selectively debond pressure sensitive adhesive compositions, methods of making the pressure sensitive adhesive compositions, articles that utilize the pressure sensitive adhesive composition, adhesive systems, and kits that include an article containing the pressure sensitive adhesive composition and the selective debonding agent, are also described.

Hybrid material of crosslinked microgel particles dispersed in an adhesive

Various systems, methods and materials are disclosed that enable efficient delivery of an agent into an adhesively adhered article, in which the agent elicits a desired outcome, on demand. This strategy, though general in scope, is also more specifically described with regard to enabling painless or atraumatic removal of products adhering to mammalian tissues such as skin and hair by suitably exploiting the ingress of an appropriate agent or like fluid. Other techniques and articles that aid in the handling or removal of such adhesive products are also disclosed.
