A server-based-Network Operating System (NOS) disaggregated switch device system includes a server device having a server chassis, a switch connector that is accessible on the server chassis, and a Central Processing Unit (CPU) system that is housed in the server chassis, that is coupled to the switch connector, and that is configured to provide a Network Operating System (NOS). Server/switch cabling is connected to the switch connector. A switch device includes a switch chassis, a server connector that is accessible on the switch chassis and that is connected to the server/switch cabling, and a Network Processing Unit (NPU) system that is housed in the switch chassis, that is coupled to the server connector, and that includes a memory subsystem that is configured to be provided with a plurality of switch tables via the server/switch cabling and by the NOS provided by the CPU system in the server device.

A location indication subsystem in the vibration-based location indication system that is coupled to the light detection subsystem and the vibration subsystem determines that the light detection subsystem has detected the computing system locating signal via the light emitted from the computing system light emitting device on the computing system and, in response, drives the vibration subsystem to produce a vibration to indicate the location of the computing system.

A single cable optical data/power transmission Ethernet port adapter system includes a single cable optical data/power transmission powering device ('powering device') coupled to a powered device using an optical data/power transmission cable (“cable”) and a single cable optical data/power transmission Ethernet port adapter device (“adapter device”). The adapter device includes an Ethernet port coupled to the powered device, and an optical data/power connector connected to the cable and including optical data conduit(s) and optical power conduit(s) with a greater cross-section area than the optical data conduit(s). A data communication system receives optical data from the powering device via the optical data conduit(s) and uses it to transmit electrical data via the Ethernet port to the powered device, and a power transmission system receives optical power from the powering device via the optical power conduit(s) and uses it to transmit electrical power via the Ethernet port to the powered device.

When cable(s) are secured to the cable securing base, the elongated handle may be moved into a computing device rack from a first side of the computing device rack such that the cable securing base is located adjacent a second side of the computing device rack that is opposite the computing device rack from the first side of the computing device rack while the elongated handle distal end of the elongated handle is located adjacent the first side of the computing device rack.

A method for manufacturing networking devices includes providing circuit boards each having an NPU mounted to that circuit board, and respective cable connectors mounted to that circuit board and coupled to that NPU. First networking devices are manufactured by providing one of the circuit boards in a chassis in each first networking device, and cabling at least some of the cable connectors on that circuit board to first subsystem(s) in that first networking device in order to configure that first networking device to perform first functionality. Second networking devices are manufactured by providing a respective one of the circuit boards in a chassis in each second networking device, and cabling at least some of the cable connectors on that circuit board to second subsystem(s) in that second networking device in order to configure that second networking device to perform second functionality that is different than the first functionality.

The multi-device-chassis/device movable coupling liquid cooling system includes a computing device mounting element that is mounted to the computing device and configured to transfer heat generated by the computing device, a multi-device chassis mounting element that includes a liquid cooling subsystem and that is mounted to the multi-device chassis, and a movable coupling that is configured to allow the computing device mounting element to move relative to the multi-device chassis mounting element. The multi-device chassis mounting element is configured to receive the heat generated by the computing device and transferred by the computing device mounting element, and transfer the heat received from the computing device mounting element using the liquid cooling subsystem.

An information handling system may include a chassis configured to house components of the information handling system and a modular power supply module configured to be readily removable from the chassis. The modular power supply module may include an enclosure, power supply components housed within the enclosure, an air mover configured to drive airflow to cool one or more components of the information handling system, and a mechanical assembly configured to mechanically couple the air mover to the enclosure that enables a user to remove the air mover from the enclosure while still coupled to the enclosure via the mechanical assembly, rotate the air mover 180 degrees relative to the enclosure while still coupled to the enclosure via the mechanical assembly, and reinsert the air mover into the enclosure, in order to modify a direction of airflow driven by the air mover.

A device information display system includes a device information display chassis with a display device, a device information display connector that is configured to connect to a computing device connector on any of a plurality of computing devices, and a device information retrieval subsystem coupled to each of the display device and the device information display connector. The device information retrieval subsystem automatically receives first device information associated with a first computing device from the first computing device in response to the device information display connector being connected to the first computing device and, while the device information display connector is connected to the first computing device, provides the first device information for display on the display device. Subsequent to the device information display connector being disconnected from the first computing device, the device information retrieval subsystem continues to provide the first device information for display on the display device.
