A Single Cable Optical Data/Power Transmission (SCODPT) high availability system includes a plurality of SCODPT transmission powering devices coupled to a SCODPT powered device via respective optical data/power transmission cables ('cables') and a SCODPT high availability device. A respective single cable optical data/power port on the SCODPT high availability device is coupled to each cable and includes port optical data conduit(s) having a port optical data conduit cross-sectional area, and optical power conduit(s) having a port optical power conduit cross-section area that is greater than the port optical data conduit cross-sectional area. A single cable optical data/power connector is coupled to the SCODPT powered device and includes connector optical data conduit(s) having a connector optical data conduit cross-sectional area, and connector optical power conduit(s) having a connector optical power conduit cross-section area that is greater than the connector optical data conduit cross-sectional area.

Single cable optical data/power transmission high availability system

A Single Cable Optical Data/Power Transmission (SCODPT) port breakout system includes a SCODPT powering device coupled to SCODPT powered devices via respective optical data/power transmission cables ('cables') and a SCODPT port breakout device. A plurality of single cable optical data/power ports on the SCODPT port breakout device are coupled via respective ones of the cables to respective ones of the SCODPT powering device or SCODPT powered devices, with those single cable optical data/power ports each including port optical data conduit(s) having a port optical data conduit cross-sectional area, and optical power conduit(s) having a port optical power conduit cross-section area that is greater than the port optical data conduit cross-sectional area. The SCODPT port breakout device receives optical power from the SCODPT powering device and distributes it to the SCODPT powered devices, and receives optical data and routes it to one or more of the SCODPT powered devices.

A vibration-based location indication system includes a computing system that is coupled to a management system via a network. The computing system includes a computing system vibration device, and a computing system location indication subsystem that is coupled to the network and the computing system vibration device. The computing system location indication subsystem receives a computing system location indication instruction to indicate a location of the computing system from the management system via the network and, based on the computing system location indication instruction, drives the computing system vibration device to produce a vibration that is configured to indicate the location of the computing system.

A computing system locating system includes a computing system having a computing system light emitting device that is configured to emit light to provide a computing system locating signal, and a vibration-based location indication system. The vibration-based location indication system includes a light detection subsystem that is configured to detect the computing system locating signal via the light emitted from the computing system light emitting device on the computing system, and a vibration subsystem that is configured to vibrate. A location indication subsystem in the vibration-based location indication system that is coupled to the light detection subsystem and the vibration subsystem determines that the light detection subsystem has detected the computing system locating signal via the light emitted from the computing system light emitting device on the computing system and, in response, drives the vibration subsystem to produce a vibration to indicate the location of the computing system.

A single cable optical data/power transmission Ethernet port adapter system includes a single cable optical data/power transmission powering device ('powering device') coupled to a powered device using an optical data/power transmission cable (“cable”) and a single cable optical data/power transmission Ethernet port adapter device (“adapter device”). The adapter device includes an Ethernet port coupled to the powered device, and an optical data/power connector connected to the cable and including optical data conduit(s) and optical power conduit(s) with a greater cross-section area than the optical data conduit(s). A data communication system receives optical data from the powering device via the optical data conduit(s) and uses it to transmit electrical data via the Ethernet port to the powered device, and a power transmission system receives optical power from the powering device via the optical power conduit(s) and uses it to transmit electrical power via the Ethernet port to the powered device.

A rack cable routing device includes a cable securing base that includes cable securing element(s) that are configured to secure cable(s) to the cable securing base. The rack cable routing device also includes an elongated handle that extends from the cable securing base and that includes an elongated handle distal end that is opposite the elongated handle from the cable securing base. When cable(s) are secured to the cable securing base, the elongated handle may be moved into a computing device rack from a first side of the computing device rack such that the cable securing base is located adjacent a second side of the computing device rack that is opposite the computing device rack from the first side of the computing device rack while the elongated handle distal end of the elongated handle is located adjacent the first side of the computing device rack.

A method for manufacturing networking devices includes providing circuit boards each having an NPU mounted to that circuit board, and respective cable connectors mounted to that circuit board and coupled to that NPU. First networking devices are manufactured by providing one of the circuit boards in a chassis in each first networking device, and cabling at least some of the cable connectors on that circuit board to first subsystem(s) in that first networking device in order to configure that first networking device to perform first functionality. Second networking devices are manufactured by providing a respective one of the circuit boards in a chassis in each second networking device, and cabling at least some of the cable connectors on that circuit board to second subsystem(s) in that second networking device in order to configure that second networking device to perform second functionality that is different than the first functionality.

High-speed networking device manufacturing system

An inter-device cabling movement system includes a base and a plurality of cable attachment devices that extend from the base in a port identification sequence. Each of the plurality of cable attachment devices includes a cable engagement element that is configured to engage a respective cable, and a cable securing element that is configured to secure the cable engagement element to the respective cable. The cable engagement elements and cable securing elements may be utilized to secure each cable attachment device to respective cables connected to first ports on a first device so that those respective cables may be disconnected from the first pots on the first device and reconnected to second ports on a second device based on the port identification sequence.

A cable free networking device stacking system includes networking devices that are each configured to operate as part of a networking device stack, and at least one LiFi device included on each of the networking devices. A first LiFi device on a first networking device in the plurality of networking devices transmits networking device stack data communications by receiving first electrical data communications from the first networking device, converting the first electrical data communications to first optical data communications, and wirelessly transmitting the first optical data communications to a second LiFi device included on a second networking device in the plurality of networking devices. The first LiFi device also receives networking device stack data communications by wirelessly receiving second optical data communications from the second LiFi device, converting the second optical data communications to second electrical data communications, and transmitting the second electrical data communications to the first networking device.

A computing device liquid cooling system includes a multi-device chassis, a computing device, and a multi-device-chassis/device movable coupling liquid cooling system that moveably couples the computing device to the multi-device chassis. The multi-device-chassis/device movable coupling liquid cooling system includes a computing device mounting element that is mounted to the computing device and configured to transfer heat generated by the computing device, a multi-device chassis mounting element that includes a liquid cooling subsystem and that is mounted to the multi-device chassis, and a movable coupling that is configured to allow the computing device mounting element to move relative to the multi-device chassis mounting element. The multi-device chassis mounting element is configured to receive the heat generated by the computing device and transferred by the computing device mounting element, and transfer the heat received from the computing device mounting element using the liquid cooling subsystem.

Multi-device-chassis/device movable coupling liquid cooling system

An information handling system may include a chassis configured to house components of the information handling system and a modular power supply module configured to be readily removable from the chassis. The modular power supply module may include an enclosure, power supply components housed within the enclosure, an air mover configured to drive airflow to cool one or more components of the information handling system, and a mechanical assembly configured to mechanically couple the air mover to the enclosure that enables a user to remove the air mover from the enclosure while still coupled to the enclosure via the mechanical assembly, rotate the air mover 180 degrees relative to the enclosure while still coupled to the enclosure via the mechanical assembly, and reinsert the air mover into the enclosure, in order to modify a direction of airflow driven by the air mover.

A device information display system includes a device information display chassis with a display device, a device information display connector that is configured to connect to a computing device connector on any of a plurality of computing devices, and a device information retrieval subsystem coupled to each of the display device and the device information display connector. The device information retrieval subsystem automatically receives first device information associated with a first computing device from the first computing device in response to the device information display connector being connected to the first computing device and, while the device information display connector is connected to the first computing device, provides the first device information for display on the display device. Subsequent to the device information display connector being disconnected from the first computing device, the device information retrieval subsystem continues to provide the first device information for display on the display device.

Dynamic device information luggage tag system

A powering patch panel system includes a patch panel device coupled to a power source, and including a first port that is coupled to a networking device via a first cable and a second port that is coupled to the powered device via a second cable. The patch panel device receives data that is directed to the powered device from the networking device through the first port and via the first cable, and receives power from the power source. The patch panel device then transmits both the data and a subset of the power through the second port and via the second cable to the powered device. The first port may be provided by optical-fiber-based port and the first cable may be provided by an optical-fiber-based cable, while the second port may be provided by a hybrid conductive-material/optical-fiber-based port and the second cable may be provided by a hybrid conductive-material/optical-fiber-based cable.
