Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for PHY priority for wireless communications are provided. An example apparatus may multiplex a first uplink control information transmission based on a first uplink control information resource and a second uplink control information transmission based on a second uplink control information resource that overlaps in time with the first uplink control information resource, at least one of the first uplink control information resource and the second uplink control information resource being for full-duplex communication. The example apparatus may determine, based on applying a multiplexing rule on the full-duplex communication, whether to use the first uplink control information resource associated with a first beam or the second uplink control information resource associated with a second beam. The example apparatus may transmit a multiplexed uplink control information transmission using a determined uplink control information resource based on the multiplexing rule.

Certain aspects are directed to an assisting node (AN) for wireless communications. The assisting node may operate as a relay or repeater (e.g., smart repeater), and may be configured to decode control signals it receives from a network node. The control signals may provide the AN with scheduling and resource allocations, and/or instruct the AN to use particular capabilities in its communications. The AN may include a memory and one or more processors configured to receive, from a network node, an energy transfer configuration providing the AN with a resource allocation for transmission of an information signal to the network node, the information signal comprising an indication of a backscatter signal received from a passive node. The AN may also be configured to transmit, based on the resource allocation, the information signal to the network node.

A wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), may receive first scheduling information with first resources for periodic transmissions with a first beam based on a half-duplex mode. The wireless device may receive second scheduling information for second resources associated with a second beam that is incompatible with the first beam for full duplex communication including downlink reception and uplink transmission that overlaps in time. The wireless device may adjust communication in response to the first beam being incompatible with the second beam for the full duplex communication.

The described techniques provide for an energy harvesting (EH)-capable device to indicate, to a reader wireless device, capabilities of the EH-capable device to use a frequency scanning antenna (FSA) array. In some examples, the capability report may indicate one or more modes supported by the EH-capable device, where a mode may indicate one or more operations supported by the EH-capable device using one or more antenna ports associated with the FSA array. For example, the EH-capable device may indicate a capability to communicate using two different antenna ports and may indicate a capability to perform concurrent operations using the two different antenna ports. In some examples, the mode of the EH-capable device may indicate which operations are performable using each antenna port, and the EH-capable device may communicate with the reader wireless device to determine a mode for communications.

Ambient internet-of-things operations with a frequency scanning antenna architecture

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an uplink trigger (ULT) message that indicates a request for a network entity to transmit a system information message including timing information for the UE. In response to the ULT message, the UE may receive the system information message indicating a timing advance (TA) command applicable to the UE. In some examples, the system information message may indicate that the TA command is applicable to a group of UEs that include the UE and one or more additional UEs. In some other examples, the system information message may indicate the TA command and a set of one or more additional TA commands, each applicable to a respective additional UE. The UE may communicate with the network entity according to a timing based on the TA command received via the system information message.

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for inter-donor topology discovery in an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) network during migration of an IAB-node. A method that may be performed by a first IAB-donor includes establishing a first signaling connection with an IAB-node, receiving an indication that the IAB-node has a second signaling connection with a second IAB-donor, and in response to receiving the indication: transferring, to the second IAB-donor, information related to the IAB-node, re-establishing traffic between the first IAB-donor and the IAB-node via a topology of the second IAB-donor, or any combination thereof.

Inter-donor topology discovery in integrated access and backhaul (IAB)

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a base station may determine a transmit power to be used by a downstream node or an amplification gain to be used by the downstream node when relaying or repeating messages to a target node. The base station may transmit, to the downstream node, a message intended for the target node, the message having an indicated transmit power, wherein the message intended for the target node is transmitted by the base station using an actual transmit power. In some aspects, the indicated transmit power is the transmit power to be used by the downstream node, so that when the message intended for the target node is repeated by the downstream node, the indicated transmit power of the repeated message matches the actual transmit power of the repeated message.

In some aspects, a control node may receive, from a wireless node, a status report of an unlicensed band associated with an unlicensed channel access of the wireless node, wherein the status report indicates listen-before-talk (LBT) failures during the unlicensed channel access of the wireless node. A first device may identify first sidelink communication timing of a first UE and a second sidelink communication timing of a second UE. The first UE and the second UE may be in communication with the first device. The first device may determine a sidelink timing offset to be used by the first device in repeating a sidelink message between the first UE and the second UE. The first device may determine the sidelink timing offset based at on the first sidelink communication timing and the second sidelink communication timing. The first device may repeat the sidelink message between the first UE and the second UE in accordance with the sidelink timing offset.

Techniques described herein support transitioning the radio resource control (RRC) state of a network controlled repeater (NCR). A distributed unit (DU) and a central unit (CU) may coordinate the release and resumption of the RRC connection of the NCR. The CU may transmit a control signal to the DU indicating to release the RRC connection of the NCR. The control signal may include a flag, such as an identifier of the NCR, and the DU may retain the identifier of the NCR. The DU may transmit a message indicating a release of the RRC connection to the NCR. The DU may coordinate the resumption of the RRC connection of the NCR by transmitting a second message to the CU. The second message may include a request to initiate a paging of the NCR and may include the identifier of the NCR.

Techniques for transitioning radio resource control state of a repeater

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating with an ad hoc intelligent reflecting surface (IRS). A method that may be performed by a user equipment includes receiving signals from a network entity via an ad hoc IRS; configuring the IRS for communications between the UE and the network entity based at least in part on the received signals; and communicating with the network entity through the IRS.
