Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network node, a physical random access channel (PRACH) communication. The UE may receive, from the network node and based at least in part on the PRACH communication, a random access response (RAR) communication and a system information block 1 (SIB1) communication that includes remaining minimum system information (RMSI). Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for determining a spatial direction of a beam for retransmitting a wireless signal. A method that may be performed by a repeater includes receiving, at the repeater, a signal transmitted by a first node, the signal carrying data intended to be received by a second node. The method may also include determining, by the repeater, a beam direction for retransmitting the received signal to the second node, the beam direction determined based on an object detection process performed by the repeater. The method may also include transmitting, by the repeater to the second node, an amplified retransmission of the received signal using a beam having the determined beam direction.

A second network node determines a backhaul adaptation protocol (BAP) configuration associated with a backhaul traffic transport and including a topology identifier corresponding to a topology of a plurality of topologies for which traffic associated with the topology is transported based on the BAP configuration. The second network node sends, to a first network node, the BAP configuration associated with the backhaul traffic transport. The first network node receives a first BAP configuration associated with a first topology identifier (ID) corresponding to a first topology, and a second BAP configuration associated with a second topology ID corresponding to a second topology that overlaps at least in part with the first topology. The first network node determines with which traffic is associated routes traffic associated with the first topology ID based on the first BAP configuration, and traffic associated with the second topology ID based on the second BAP configuration.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for compensating for certain characteristic(s) of an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS). A method that may be performed by a first wireless node includes obtaining an indication of a correction for an IRS to compensate for one or more characteristics of the IRS and communicating with a second wireless node via the IRS using the indication of the correction.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a subband full duplex (SBFD) pattern report, indicating a candidate SBFD pattern. The candidate SBFD pattern may indicate a candidate number of downlink or uplink subbands, a number of or location of guard bands, frequency locations of the uplink or downlink subbands or guard bands, a total uplink and downlink bandwidth, time locations of SBFD symbols or slots, transmit/receive beam pairs, transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state pairs or timing, or any combination thereof. The network may configure the UE with an SBFD pattern based on receiving the SBFD pattern report (e.g., which may or may not be the same as the reported candidate SBFD pattern).

Reporting of preferred subband configurations for full duplex operations

Certain aspects are directed to an assisting node (AN) for wireless communications. The assisting node may operate as a relay or repeater (e.g., smart repeater), and may be configured to decode control signals it receives from a network node. The control signals may provide the AN with scheduling and resource allocations, and/or instruct the AN to use particular capabilities in its communications. The AN may include a memory and one or more processors configured to receive, from a network node, an energy transfer configuration providing the AN with a resource allocation for transmission of an information signal to the network node, the information signal comprising an indication of a backscatter signal received from a passive node. The AN may also be configured to transmit, based on the resource allocation, the information signal to the network node.

A wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), may receive first scheduling information with first resources for periodic transmissions with a first beam based on a half-duplex mode. The wireless device may receive second scheduling information for second resources associated with a second beam that is incompatible with the first beam for full duplex communication including downlink reception and uplink transmission that overlaps in time. The wireless device may adjust communication in response to the first beam being incompatible with the second beam for the full duplex communication.

The described techniques provide for an energy harvesting (EH)-capable device to indicate, to a reader wireless device, capabilities of the EH-capable device to use a frequency scanning antenna (FSA) array. In some examples, the capability report may indicate one or more modes supported by the EH-capable device, where a mode may indicate one or more operations supported by the EH-capable device using one or more antenna ports associated with the FSA array. For example, the EH-capable device may indicate a capability to communicate using two different antenna ports and may indicate a capability to perform concurrent operations using the two different antenna ports. In some examples, the mode of the EH-capable device may indicate which operations are performable using each antenna port, and the EH-capable device may communicate with the reader wireless device to determine a mode for communications.

Ambient internet-of-things operations with a frequency scanning antenna architecture

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an uplink trigger (ULT) message that indicates a request for a network entity to transmit a system information message including timing information for the UE. In response to the ULT message, the UE may receive the system information message indicating a timing advance (TA) command applicable to the UE. In some examples, the system information message may indicate that the TA command is applicable to a group of UEs that include the UE and one or more additional UEs. In some other examples, the system information message may indicate the TA command and a set of one or more additional TA commands, each applicable to a respective additional UE. The UE may communicate with the network entity according to a timing based on the TA command received via the system information message.

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for inter-donor topology discovery in an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) network during migration of an IAB-node. A method that may be performed by a first IAB-donor includes establishing a first signaling connection with an IAB-node, receiving an indication that the IAB-node has a second signaling connection with a second IAB-donor, and in response to receiving the indication: transferring, to the second IAB-donor, information related to the IAB-node, re-establishing traffic between the first IAB-donor and the IAB-node via a topology of the second IAB-donor, or any combination thereof.

Inter-donor topology discovery in integrated access and backhaul (IAB)

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a base station may determine a transmit power to be used by a downstream node or an amplification gain to be used by the downstream node when relaying or repeating messages to a target node. The base station may transmit, to the downstream node, a message intended for the target node, the message having an indicated transmit power, wherein the message intended for the target node is transmitted by the base station using an actual transmit power. In some aspects, the indicated transmit power is the transmit power to be used by the downstream node, so that when the message intended for the target node is repeated by the downstream node, the indicated transmit power of the repeated message matches the actual transmit power of the repeated message.

Measurement and power control in integrated access fronthaul networks

In some aspects, a control node may receive, from a wireless node, a status report of an unlicensed band associated with an unlicensed channel access of the wireless node, wherein the status report indicates listen-before-talk (LBT) failures during the unlicensed channel access of the wireless node.
