A system and method for performing a dual energy subtraction imaging process on a fixed or mobile fluoroscopy imaging system for pulmonary imaging applications is provided. The dual energy subtraction image processing system includes a processor configured to operate a radiation source of a fluoroscopy imaging system in a pulsed manner to obtain a number of high energy (HE) frames, to form an HE image from the number of HE frames, to operate the radiation source of the fluoroscopy imaging system in a continuous manner to obtain a number of low energy (LE) frames, to form an LE image from the LE frames, and to employ the HE image and the LE image in a dual energy subtraction imaging process to output a number of enhanced contrast images. The processor is also configured to operate the detector in continuous manner to obtain the HE frames and the LE frames.

Variable tissue imaging system and method for C-arm fluoroscopy imaging systems

Various methods and systems are provided for medical imaging systems. In one example, an imaging system comprises: a C-shaped gantry; an x-ray tube coupled to a first end of the C-shaped gantry; an x-ray detector coupled to a second end of the C-shaped gantry, opposite to the x-ray tube; and a controller with computer readable instructions stored on non-transitory memory that when executed, cause the controller to: identify a reference image; determine a target electrical current based on the reference image; determine a corrected electrical current based on the target electrical current; and transition an electrical current provided to the x-ray tube to the target electrical current by commanding the electrical current to the corrected electrical current while maintaining a constant voltage provided to the x-ray tube.

Methods and systems for x-ray imaging

The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for visualizing a guidewire in a roadmap image. In accordance with certain embodiments, a method includes generating a background mask as a function of at least one background image, wherein the at least one background image includes a blood vessel of interest, generating a contrast mask as a function of at least one contrast image, wherein the at least one contrast image includes a contrast within the blood vessel of interest, receiving a guidewire image, wherein the guidewire image includes a guidewire within the blood vessel of interest, generating a roadmap image as a function of the background mask, contrast mask, and guidewire image, wherein the roadmap image includes the blood vessel of interest, and the guidewire, and outputting the roadmap image to a display.

System and method for carbon dioxide angiographic roadmap imaging

A cooking pot enclosing a rotatable spherical chamber includes a pot body. A cover is provided on an open top of the pot body to define an enclosed space. A removable, spherical chamber assembly is rotatably suspended within the pot body by a pair of opposite shafts. One shaft end is driven by a mating gear connected to a gear train and motor located external to the pot body. Food is placed in the spherical chamber assembly, which is then placed in the pot body. The pot body is filled with several inches of water, and placed on a stove or other heating element. The spherical chamber assembly is suspended above the boiling water, and is rotated by the motor and gear train, which causes the food to tumble and therefore cook evenly and quickly. Baffles affixed to the interior side walls of the spherical chamber assembly further enhance the mixing action.
