Apparatus is provided having a smart communication device having a processor configured to: receive signaling containing information about sensed data from a multiplicity of data collectors each associated with a respective piece of equipment and configured to collect the sensed data related to the respective piece of equipment when the smart communication device is moved within a predefined proximity to automatically connect with each data collector to receive the signaling during movement of the smart communication device on a programmed route having multiple pieces of equipment; and determine corresponding signaling containing information about prioritized sensed data related to each of the multiplicity of data collectors for operating an app in the processor, based upon the signaling received. The smart communication device includes an iPad, a smart phone, a laptop or a subsystem of a vehicle/robot. The apparatus may include the vehicle/robot having the subsystem.

Apparatus features a signal processor configured to receive signaling from a flux sensor containing information about a residual field from an electrical supply to a motor of a driven machine and a magnetic field from one or more rotating magnets placed on a rotating component of the driven machine; and determine corresponding signaling containing information about the operation of the driven machine, based upon a difference between an electrical supply frequency and a slip frequency determined from the signaling received and processed. The signal processor also provides the corresponding signaling for further processing to determine further information about the operation of the machine.

Apparatus featuring a signal processor or signal processing module configured to: receive signaling containing information about a sampled leakage magnetic flux sensed from a motor, a motor load profile containing a learned leakage magnetic flux sensed from the motor and stored during a learning stage, and a user selectable band of tolerance related to the motor load profile to trigger an alarm condition for the motor; and determine corresponding signaling containing information about whether to trigger the alarm condition for the motor if the sampled leakage magnetic flux is outside the user selectable band of tolerance of the motor load profile, based upon the signaling received. A sensing module for configuring on a vibrating machine or structure, such as a pump or pump assembly is provided. The sensing module includes an outer shell configured with a recessed portion, and encapsulated electronics having a multicolored light array arranged inside the outer shell. The multicolored light array responds to signaling containing information about a condition being sensed or monitored by the sensing module and provides along a projection axis at least one beam of light containing information about the condition. The signaling is received from one or more of the other encapsulated electronics, including an accelerometer or temperature sensing device. The sensing module includes a domed lens configured in the recessed portion of the outer shell, and configured to project the at least one beam of light along the projection axis with a visibility of 360&#xb0; for viewing from afar, by an observer visually monitoring the sensing module.
