A circuit includes a first rectifier having a first rectifier input and a first rectifier output. The circuit also includes a bridge circuit and a second rectifier. The bridge circuit is coupled to the first rectifier output. The bridge circuit has first, second, third, and fourth terminals. The first and second terminals are coupled to the first rectifier output, and the third and fourth terminals are adapted to be coupled to a primary winding of a transformer. The second rectifier has a second rectifier input and a second rectifier output. The second rectifier input is adapted to be coupled to a secondary winding of the transformer.

Power stealing using a current transformer

In an example, a rectifier circuit includes first and second capacitors, first and second current control devices, and a switch. The first current control device is configured to provide an input current to the first capacitor during a positive cycle of an alternating current (AC) input voltage. The second capacitor is configured to store a charge and the switch is configured to couple the second capacitor to a ground terminal so the second capacitor discharges a capacitor current during the positive cycle of the input voltage responsive to the stored charge in the second capacitor. The second current control device is configured to provide the capacitor current to the first capacitor during the positive cycle of the input voltage. The first capacitor is configured to store a charge responsive to the input current and the capacitor current.

Common wire full-wave rectifier circuit

A circuit includes a solid-state relay, a rectifier, and a current transformer-based power supply. The rectifier is adapted to be coupled to the solid-state relay. The rectifier is configured to provide a voltage to an output terminal responsive to the solid-state relay being in an off state. The current transformer-based power supply is coupled to the rectifier and is adapted to be coupled to a transformer. The current transformer-based power supply is configured to provide a voltage to the output terminal responsive to the solid-state relay being in an on state.

Self-powered solid state relay using digital isolators

A solid-state relay circuit includes an isolator circuit, a first output terminal, a second output terminal, and an output switch. The output switch is coupled to the isolator circuit, and includes a first transistor, a second transistor, and a diode. The first transistor is coupled to the first output terminal. The second transistor is coupled to the first transistor and the second output terminal. The diode is coupled to the first transistor, the second transistor, and ground, and is configured to block current flow from ground to the first transistor and the second transistor. The isolator circuit is coupled to the output switch and is configured to activate the first transistor and the second transistor.

Solid-state relay with isolator

In described examples, a measurement circuit includes an isolated power supply that generates an output signal in response to an input signal. A signal processing circuit is coupled to the isolated power supply and generates a first signal in response to a sense signal. A load manipulator circuit is coupled to the signal processing circuit and the isolated power supply. The load manipulator circuit receives the first signal. A detect circuit is coupled to the isolated power supply and generates a second signal in response to the input signal.

Data transfer through an isolated power supply

A motor system with an input for coupling to a motor control signal that, when presented in a predetermined state, indicates a motor receiving power should be disabled from rotating. The system also includes controller circuitry for providing a disabling signal to motor rotation, independent of processor software control signaling and the power, in response to the control signal.

A current measurement circuit includes first, second, and third conductors, a first current sensor, a second current sensor, and current computation circuitry. The first conductor is configured to conduct a first phase current of a three-phase current. The second conductor is configured to conduct a second phase current of the three-phase current. The third conductor is configured to conduct a third phase current of the three-phase current. The first current sensor is coupled to the first, the second, and the third conductors. The second current sensor is coupled to the second conductor and the third conductor. The current computation circuitry is coupled to the first current sensor and the second current sensor, and is configured to determine the first current, the second current, and the third current by applying an inverse Clarke transform to the output of the first current sensor and the output of the second current sensor.

Three phase current measurement

An apparatus and method of detecting movement of a plunger of the solenoid includes detecting a peak (I) in a current signal applied to a coil of the solenoid. A predetermined threshold is added to the current signal applied to the coil of the solenoid to generate a level shifted signal. The level shifted signal and the peak signal are compared to detect movement of a plunger of the solenoid.

In some examples, a gate driver includes a gate sense pin and a gate sense circuit configured to couple to a node of a transistor via the gate sense pin. The gate sense circuit includes an overcurrent detection circuit configured to detect a first fault condition based on the node before the transistor turns on in a soft switching mode. The gate sense circuit also includes a Miller plateau detection circuit configured to detect a second fault condition based on the node when the transistor is turning on in a hard switching mode.
