A foldable playyard that can stay in an erected state at all times regardless how the playyard is positioned comprises a hub which has a locking member. The playyard comprises a lower frame assembly, an upper frame assembly and corner legs. The lower frame assembly comprises a hub and a plurality of hub legs. One end portion of each of the hub legs is pivotally coupled to the hub. The upper frame assembly comprises a plurality of side rail units, each comprising a pair of rails and a medial rail connecting member pivotally connecting one end portions of the pair of rails. The medial rail connecting member enables the pair of rails to be collapsed from a substantially in-line configuration to a substantially V-shaped configuration. The corner legs interconnect the upper and lower frame assemblies. The hub according to the present invention is provided with a locking member which is positionable opposite the hub legs recesses which accommodates the end portions thereof to prevent the hub legs from pivoting relative to the hub. The hub further has a rotation prevention mechanism for preventing rotation of the locking member. The locking member is rotated by rotating a handle which first releases the rotation prevention mechanism.

A double wheel caster for being rotatably mounted on a leg of a transport carrier includes a support rod having a center portion and opposite first and second end portions. The center portion of the support rod is rotatably positioned within an opening located in a wheel caster trailing housing. A pair of caster wheels are rotatably positioned on the first and second end portions of the support rod. Each caster wheel has an aperture generally centrally located therethrough and a plurality of fingers extending radially inward and into engagement with the support rod such that the caster wheels are frictionally mounted on the support rod. Upon movement of the transport carrier in a direction which forces one caster wheel to rotate faster than the other, the frictional mounting inhibits the one caster from freely rotating with respect to the other to thereby prevent shimmying.

An infant seat which serves as a rocker, car safety seat, carrier and swing seat. The seat includes a plastic shell having a seat portion, a backrest portion and a pair of hook members for threadably receiving and retaining a seat belt. A foldable rocker mechanism is coupled to the shell and is latchable in one or more positions so as to rockably support the seat on a flat support surface or provide a stable support for the seat on a car seat. A handle mechanism for carrying the seat includes a handle member rotatably coupled to the shell and latchable in a forward position. A bail is attachable to the handle so as to swingably support the handle from a windup swing mechanism when the handle is in the forward position.
