Control systems and methods for rotating control device (RCD) active pressure compensation are provided. A control system for an RCD for rotary drilling in a wellbore includes: RCD equipment having an internal pressure P, wellbore having a wellbore pressure P, the RCD equipment being operably connected to the wellbore, a return line leading toward a ground surface and having a return pressure P, the RCD equipment being operably connected to the return line, and a regulator configured to adjust a fluid pressure supplied to the RCD to control the internal pressure P.

A remote locking system for a blowout preventer (BOP) includes a locking mechanism configured to move to adjust the remote locking system between an unlocked configuration in which the remote locking system enables movement of a ram of the BOP and a locked configuration in which the remote locking system blocks movement of the ram of the BOP. The remote locking system also includes a gear assembly coupled to the locking mechanism, a motor coupled to the gear assembly, and an electronic controller configured to provide a control signal to activate the motor to drive the locking mechanism to move via the gear assembly.

A technique facilitates deployment and use of a seal rotating system without retrieving the running tool prior to a drilling operation. The running tool remains with the drill string after deployment of the seal rotating system which saves substantial time by avoiding retrieval of the running tool prior to conducting the drilling operation. According to an embodiment, a seal rotating system is mounted to the running tool and the running tool is connected into a drill string. The running tool is used to position the seal rotating system in a rotating control device housing which may be positioned along, for example, a riser. The running tool is then released from the seal rotating system and is moved downhole as part of the drill string to enable performance of a borehole drilling operation without removing the running tool.

An apparatus for deploying lubricator pipes includes a rack configured to hold a plurality of lubricator pipes in a generally parallel orientation. The rack is pivotable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration, and the plurality of lubricator pipes pivot as the rack pivots and remain generally parallel to one another in the rack. The apparatus also includes an actuator coupled to the rack and configured to pivot the rack from the stowed configuration to the deployed configuration.

A tool catcher system that includes a housing. The housing defines a bore that receives a tool. The tool catcher system includes a plurality of ring segments that move radially inward and radially outward to selectively couple to and uncouple from the tool. A spring plate supports the plurality of ring segments. An actuator plate couples to the spring plate. A plurality of shafts couple the actuator plate to the spring plate. An actuator system moves the actuator plate and the spring plate in a first direction to release the tool.
