Archery bow riser

An archery bow is provided including opposing limbs and a riser. The riser can include a riser handle and one or more primary riser elongated elements extending away from the handle to respective limbs. The primary riser elongated elements can be straight, elongated round or other shaped tubes, rods or bars constructed optionally from a composite or other material. Vents can be included in ports of the riser to facilitate escape of air when riser elongated elements are installed in those ports. The riser can include one or more connector lugs disposed between tube portions to facilitate attachment of accessories to the elongated elements. The elongated elements can be bonded, adhered or otherwise fixed to the riser handle, struts, lugs and/or limb pockets, which can be constructed from a metal such as aluminum, titanium or an alloy, and which can handle significant moments and forces transferred via the elongated elements.

Tubular archery bow riser

An aiming device is provided including an illumination device and an optical element wherein the illumination device projects a primary dot and at least one secondary alignment dot distal from the primary dot to aid a user in obtaining a view of the primary dot when the aiming device is in an aligned mode, the primary dot is visible within a field of view of the user, but the secondary alignment dot is not visible. When the aiming device is in a misaligned mode, the secondary alignment dot is visible to the user, but the primary dot is not. The secondary alignment dot provides instruction to the user to realign the aiming device relative to the field of view of the user so that the aiming device transitions to the aligned mode. A related method of operation is provided.

Macro alignment reticle sight system

An archery bow assembly is provided including an open sided spacer which is mountable to an axle on an archery bow and removable therefrom without removing the axle entirely or partially from a limb of the archery bow. The spacer can mount on the axle adjacent a cam rotatable on the axle, and can include an outer perimeter and an axle aperture. A recess can extend inward from the outer perimeter to the axle aperture so that the axle aperture and recess form a continuous opening. The spacer can be of a C-shape or E-shape. A cup spacer having an outer rim can capture the open sided spacer to secure it to the axle, yet still allow removal from the axle without removing the axle from the limb arms adjacent the cam. Related methods also are provided.

An archery bow assembly is provided including an open sided spacer which is mountable to an axle on an archery bow and removable therefrom without removing the axle entirely or partially from a limb of the archery bow. The spacer can mount on the axle adjacent a cam rotatable on the axle, and can include an outer perimeter and an axle aperture. A recess can extend inward from the outer perimeter to the axle aperture so that the axle aperture and recess form a continuous opening. The spacer can be of a C-shape or E-shape so that it can be frictionally pressed onto the axle and removed therefrom without removing the axle from the limb arms adjacent the cam. Related methods also are provided.

An archery training aid is provided including a body and a finger rest extending outward at an angle from a base. The finger rest can include a finger rest surface configured to engage one or more fingers of a hand. The base can be configured to be placed in engagement with a first lateral grip surface of a bow grip so that the finger rest surface is disposed at a first angle between 25&#xb0; to 65&#xb0;, inclusive, or between 30&#xb0; and 50&#xb0;, inclusive, relative to the first lateral grip surface. A related method of use is provided to impair or prevent bow torque imparted by an archer's hand on a bow.

Archery training grip and related method

A grip for a weapon is provided and can include a user engagement area including a first surface on the weapon, a first layer including an aerogel, the first layer disposed adjacent the first surface, and a first engagement member disposed over the first layer in the user engagement area. The first engagement member includes an exterior surface that engages an appendage of a user when the user holds the weapon. The first layer including the aerogel insulates the first engagement member so that thermal energy transfer between the user and the weapon is impaired. The weapon can be an archery bow, a firearm or any other weapon including a grip or portion that is engaged by an appendage of a user.

Insulated grip and related method of installation

An aiming device is provided including a body, an optical element joined with the body that has selectively displayed thereon a dot visible to a user along a first line of viewing, and a power indicator distal from the optical element, where the power indicator emits illumination along a second line of viewing, offset from the first line of viewing. The power indicator can alert the user via the illumination that the dot is or is not displayed on the optical element, without the user needing to directly view the dot along the first line of viewing. The illumination emitted by the power indicator can be of a first visible wavelength range, e.g., blue, and the dot can illuminate in a second visible wavelength range different from the first visible wavelength range, e.g., green or red, so the likelihood of confusing the power indicator with the dot can be reduced.

Broadhead

A mechanical broadhead, which has blades movable from a retracted mode to a deployed mode, is provided with ball and socket members that hold the blades in the retracted mode, and selectively release the blades to the deployed mode. The ball and socket members, which can be on the blades and/or on a retainer element, can be snapped together to provide an audible snap confirming locking of the blades in the retracted mode. The mechanical broadhead can include first and second ferrule portions removably joined with one another. The second ferrule portion can acquire a blocking mode to block a removal opening of a ferrule slot defined in the first ferrule portion so that blade cannot be removed from respective ferrule slots. The second ferrule portion can achieve a removal mode so that the blades can be removed from the slots.
