A headset includes an optical assembly, an adjustment assembly, and a measurement component. The measurement component is configured to measure an interpupillary distance provided by an adjustment assembly in a first direction and an eye relief distance provided by the adjustment assembly in a second direction, where the first direction is orthogonal to the second direction. The measurement component includes a first rheostat configured to measure the interpupillary distance and a second rheostat configured to measure the eye relief distance, wherein the second rheostat is placed parallel to the first rheostat. The measurement component further includes a linkage configured to translate a motion of the adjustment assembly in the second direction to the first direction.

A headset includes a housing, an optical assembly disposed in the housing, and an adjustment assembly coupling the optical assembly to the housing. The optical assembly includes a first lens and a second lens spaced from the first lens by a first distance. The adjustment assembly includes an interpupillary distance adjustment mechanism and an eye relief distance adjustment mechanism. The interpupillary distance adjustment mechanism is configured to adjust the first distance between the first lens and the second lens along a first axis. The eye relief distance adjustment mechanism configured to adjust the optical assembly a second distance along a second axis orthogonal to the first axis.

The disclosed system for varifocal adjustments may include a frame, an optical lens pair supported by the frame, and a brake mechanism coupled to the frame. The optical lens pair may include a first lens that is movably coupled to the frame and a second lens that is fixedly coupled to the frame. The brake mechanism may be configured to frictionally stop movement of the first lens and to maintain a position of the first lens. Various other devices, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

Systems and methods for varifocal adjustment brakes

A modular spinal fixation system for securing an elongate rod to a bone of a patient includes a plurality of bone anchors, each having a universal shank head and an anchor portion opposite the universal shank head configured for fixation to the bone. The system further includes a plurality of pivoting and non-pivoting receiver sub-assemblies, with each receiver sub-assembly including a receiver having an upper portion defining a channel configured to receive the elongate rod and a base defining a lower portion of a central bore communicating with a bottom surface of the receiver through a bottom opening, and one of a shank head-engaging retainer or a rod-engaging insert positioned within the central bore. Each of the universal shank heads is configured for uploading into both the pivoting and non-pivoting receiver sub-assemblies through the bottom opening of the receiver and for axial rotation about a longitudinal axis of the shank relative to the receiver prior to locking the receiver sub-assembly to the head of the shank with the elongate rod and a closure.

A pivotal bone anchor assembly includes a bone anchor having a capture portion with a frusto-conical outer surface and a horizontal capture recess extending circumferentially around a mid-portion thereof, a receiver having a central bore with a seating surface proximate a bottom opening, and a ring retainer having a retainer aperture with an inner surface that is slidably engageable with the frusto-conical outer surface of the capture structure and a retainer aperture recess extending circumferentially into the inner surface. The assembly further includes a snap ring positionable within the retainer aperture recess with a snap ring aperture smaller than the retainer aperture. Upon securing the ring retainer within the central bore with the retainer aperture centered above the bottom opening, the capture portion is uploadable into the retainer aperture with the frusto-conical outer surface engaging and continuously expanding the snap ring until the horizontal capture recess reaches the retainer aperture recess and the snap ring snaps into the horizontal capture recess to couple the bone anchor to the ring retainer.

The disclosed systems for varifocal adjustments may include a frame, an optical lens pair supported by the frame, and a flexure assembly. The optical lens pair may include a first lens that is movably coupled to the frame and a second lens that is fixedly coupled to the frame. The flexure assembly may be configured to constrain movement of the first lens to a substantially linear pathway. The flexure assembly may include at least one substantially planar flexure element having a first movable end portion coupled to the first lens and a second fixed end portion coupled to the frame. Various other devices, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

Systems and methods for varifocal adjustments

A pivotal bone anchor system includes a plurality of bone anchors having rounded capture portions with circumferentially extending capture recesses. The system also includes multi-planar receiver sub-assemblies, each comprising a multi-planar receiver defining a cavity with a multi-planar seating surface, and a multi-planar pivoting retainer configured for multi-planar motion upon engagement with the multi-planar seating surface and to snap into a capture recess to capture a bone anchor within the multi-planar receiver. The system further includes uni-planar receiver sub-assemblies, each comprising a uni-planar receiver defining a cavity with a uni-planar seating surface, and a uni-planar pivoting retainer configured for uni-planar motion upon engagement with the uni-planar seating surface and to snap into a capture recess to capture a bone anchor within the uni-planar receiver. The capture portions of the bone anchors are configured for capture by either a multi-planar or uni-planar receiver sub-assembly without further modification or adjustment.

A pivotal bone anchor assembly for securing an elongate rod to patient bone includes a shank having a head and an anchor portion, a receiver having an axial bore and a channel for receiving the elongate rod, a collet insert top loaded into a first position within the axial bore and having a collet pocket for receiving the shank head, and a pressure ring uploadable into the collet pocket prior to the shank head and having an upper surface for engaging the rod. After receiving the shank head within the collet pocket, the collet insert and pressure ring are downwardly deployable with the shank head into a second position to capture the shank head in the assembly, the pressure ring being operable to transfer pressure from the elongate rod in the channel to the shank head to lock an angular position of the shank relative to the receiver.

A circuit interrupting device for use with a electrical power distribution system includes a housing containing a circuit interrupting mechanism. A battery tube is positioned in the housing. A battery assembly is configured to be inserted into the battery tube. The battery assembly includes a battery assembly body having a first end and a second end. A battery is positioned in the battery assembly body. The battery assembly is configured such that both a positive contact and a negative contact are exposed from the second end of the battery assembly body. In some embodiments, the battery assembly includes a keyed portion mates with the battery tube to ensure alignment of the battery assembly in the battery tube.

A circuit interrupting device for use with an electrical power distribution system includes a housing containing a circuit interrupting mechanism. A battery tube is positioned in the housing. A battery assembly is configured to be inserted into the battery tube. The battery assembly includes an assembly body having a first end and a second end and a battery is positioned within the assembly body. A cap is connected to the assembly body and configured to connect the battery assembly to the battery tube. The cap includes a torque-limiting device that prevents overtightening of the cap to the battery tube.
