The invention relates to a method of improved ammunition production, more specifically to a cellular structure end cap, suitable for an ammunition round, said end cap comprising a porous 3D spatial structure in the shape of said end cap, wherein in said porous 3D spatial structure comprises a surface skin.

Lightweight end cap

A lightweight end cap for an ammunition cartridge, said end cap having a central axis along its axial length, with a first radius; wherein said end cap further comprises a swept volume rebate; having a second radius less than the first radius, wherein the second radius is at least 10% smaller than the first radius, and wherein the swept volume rebate extends along at least 10% of the axial length of said end cap, wherein the end cap further comprises an extractor groove suitable for receiving an ejection mechanism.

According to the present invention, there is provided an ammunition belt link comprising, a sprung wire, said sprung wire arranged to form a first receiving portion suitable for retaining a first ammunition cartridge, a second receiving portion suitable for retaining a second ammunition cartridge, a spacer between said first receiving and second receiving portions, an ammunition cartridge locator aide, said locator aid locates in an ejector groove of a received cartridge and, the wire ammunition belt link further comprising a support surface suitable for retaining the first and/or second ammunition cartridge.

There is provided an ammunition belt link comprising, a sprung wire, said sprung wire arranged to form a first receiving portion suitable for retaining a first ammunition cartridge, a second receiving portion suitable for retaining a second ammunition cartridge, a spacer between said first receiving and second receiving portions; and an ammunition cartridge locator aide, said aide locates in an ejector groove of a received cartridge.

Lightweight ammunition belt link

A cartridge casing comprising a casing tube formed substantially of metal with a closed end and an open end. The casing tube bounds at least part of a head cap entered into the open end of the tube. The head cap is fixed relative to the tube. An end wall defines the closed end opposite the head cap end of the cartridge. The end wall comprises a weakened region.

Cartridge casing for a blank cartridge

A cartridge casing comprises a casing tube having a first end and a head cap. The first end of the casing tube abuts and is joined with the head cap such that an orifice in the first end of the casing tube is aligned with a passage in the head cap to define a flash passage. The head cap and casing tube are held together by a deformable member.
