The first region has a first region fluid permeability score (PS1), and the second region has a second region fluid permeability score (PS2). The first region fluid permeability score (PS1) is different than the second region fluid permeability score (PS2). The first region fluid permeability score (PS1) and the second region fluid permeability score (PS2) are both greater than 5 Darcy.

The attenuated region(s) may include a plurality of discrete low bulk portions arranged in a pattern disposed along a longitudinal axis of the article, which facilitate z-direction movement of fluid through the topsheet and inhibit spreading of a fluid stain along the topsheet in the x and y directions.

Absorbent article with function-formed topsheet, and method for manufacturing

A nonwoven fabric comprises a first surface, a second surface, and a visually discernible pattern on at least one of the first and second surfaces. The visually discernible pattern has a regular, repeating pattern of three-dimensional features. Each of the three-dimensional features define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions having a difference in values for an intensive property. The first surface has a TS7 value in the range of about 1 dB Vrms to about 15 dB Vrms. The second surface has a TS7 value in the range of about 1 dB Vrms to about 15 dB Vrms. A ratio of the TS7 value of the first surface to the TS7 value of the second surface is in the range of about 1 to about 3.

Method for making a shaped nonwoven

The present disclosure is directed, in part, to webs or topsheets for absorbent articles and methods of making the same. The webs and topsheets include bicomponent fibers having a first component and a second component, wherein the first component has a different hydrophilicity than the second component. The webs and topsheets include a continuous land area and discrete zones of modified surface energy. One of the first and second components forms an outer surface of the fibers in the continuous land area and the other of the components at least partially forms an outer surface of the fibers in the discrete zones of modified surface energy such that the discrete zones of modified surface energy have a different hydrophilicity than the continuous land area.

A plurality of apertures extend through at least one of the first nonwoven web or the second web. The nonwoven web includes a plurality of continuous spunbond crimped fibers wherein a plurality of apertures extend through the nonwoven web.

An absorbent article includes a liquid permeable, apertured topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, an absorbent core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet, and an acquisition material disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the absorbent core. Absorbent articles with improved low viscosity waste acquisition

An absorbent structure is disclosed. The absorbent structure includes a first fibrous layer having a first surface and a second surface and a second layer having a first surface and second surface. The first fibrous layer is substantially planar and the second absorbent layer includes voids within the layer. The absorbent structure first fibrous layer and the second layer exhibit a structural integrity substantially equal to an absorbent structure without voids.
