An ambulatory cardiac device for improving a signal to noise profile of an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal of a patient is provided. The ambulatory cardiac device includes a plurality of active ECG electrodes disposed in a plurality of locations about a patient. Each active electrode can include an ECG electrode substrate configured to be in physical contact with skin of the patient, a local biasing substrate proximate to the ECG electrode substrate and configured to be in physical contact with the skin of the patient, and local biasing circuitry configured to provide a local biasing signal into a body of the patient via the local biasing substrate.

Ambulatory medical device having sensors with localized driven grounds

An ambulatory medical device including a plurality of sensing electrodes and one or more processors operably coupled to the plurality of sensing electrodes is provided. Each sensing electrodes is configured to be coupled eternally to a patient and to detect one or more ECG signals. The one or more processors are configured to receive at least one electrode-specific digital signal for each of the plurality of sensing electrodes, determine a noise component for each of the electrode-specific digital signals, analyze each of the noise components for each of the plurality of sensing electrodes, generate electrode matching information for each sensing electrode of the plurality of sensing electrodes based upon analysis of each of the noise components, determine one or more sensing electrode pairs based upon the electrode matching information, and monitor each of the one or more sensing electrode pairs for ECG activity of the patient.

Ambulatory medical device including a digital front-end

A serviceable wearable cardiac treatment device for continuous extended use by an ambulatory patient includes a garment and a device controller. The garment is configured to dispose therein a plurality of ECG sensing and therapy electrodes. The device controller is configured to be in separable electrical communication with the plurality of ECG sensing and therapy electrodes. The device controller includes an impact-resistant energy core, including a frame and capacitor(s) permanently bonded to the frame. The device controller includes a critical function circuit board, including critical function processor(s) and circuitry, and a non-critical function circuit board, including non-critical function processor(s) and circuitry. The critical function circuit board is in electrical communication with the capacitor(s) and configured to control critical operations of the device controller regardless of operability of the non-critical function circuit board. The non-critical function circuit board is configured to control non-critical operations of the device controller.

An externally worn cardiac monitoring and/or treatment system with battery detachment detection is provided. The system includes detachment circuitry and audible and/or vibrational alarm circuitry operably coupled to the detachment circuitry. The detachment circuitry is configured to detect whether the rechargeable battery is detached from the battery-powered externally worn cardiac device by monitoring a connection established between the rechargeable battery and the at least one processor and output a battery status signal indicating whether the rechargeable battery is detached from the battery-powered externally worn cardiac device. The audible and/or vibrational alarm circuitry is configured to receive the battery status signal and output an audible alert in a predetermined frequency range and/or a tactile alert if the rechargeable battery is detached.

Systems and methods for providing an alert indicating battery removal from a wearable medical device

A serviceable wearable cardiac treatment device for continuous extended use by an ambulatory patient includes a garment, a device controller, and an ingress-protective housing. The garment is configured to dispose therein a plurality of ECG sensing and therapy electrodes to monitor for and treat a cardiac arrhythmia in the patient. The device controller is configured to be in separable electrical communication with the plurality of ECG sensing and therapy electrodes and includes an impact-resistant energy core, and first and second circuit boards affixed to opposing sides of the impact-resistant energy core. The impact-resistant energy core includes a frame and at least one capacitor permanently bonded to the frame to form a unitary mass. The ingress-protective housing is configured to enable removal of the impact-resistant energy core and the first and second circuit boards during servicing.

A flow of breathable gas is delivered to a subject through a patient interface assembly. An enhanced technique for determining whether the airway of subject is disengaged from the patient interface assembly. A model that provides predicted values of a dynamic property of the flow of breathable gas is fit to measured values of the dynamic property. The model and/or the fit of the predicted values to the measured values are then analyzed to determine whether or not the airway of the subject is disengaged from the patient interface assembly. This provide enhanced determination of these conditions even in implementations in which a restrictive patient interface assembly is used.

The present disclosure pertains to a mechanical ventilator system configured to deliver a pressurized flow of breathable gas to the airway of a subject. The system is configured to generate the pressurized flow of breathable gas according to a volume control mode therapy regime that delivers a target tidal volume to the subject during inhalation. During an individual inhalation, the system is configured to determine and/or adjust an inspiratory pressure level of the pressurized flow of breathable gas of the volume control mode therapy regime. The inspiratory pressure level is adjusted such that during the inhalation the inspiratory pressure level is not reduced to impede respiratory effort by the subject responsive to the target tidal volume being exceeded during the inhalation. The system comprises one or more of a pressure generator, a subject interface, one or more sensors, one or more processors, a user interface, electronic storage, and/or other components.
