A portable power supply including an internal power source, an AC output, a DC output, and an input unit configured to receive power from a first external source. The portable power supply further includes a first power conversion unit configured to convert the power received from the first external source to a first DC power used for charging the internal power source, an AC power conversion unit configured to convert power output by the internal power source to an AC power used for powering a first peripheral device connected to the AC output, and a DC power conversion unit configured to convert power output by the internal power source to a second DC power used for powering a second peripheral device connected to the DC output.

Portable power supply

Embodiments described herein provide a modular storage for power tool devices including a charging compartment for power tool battery packs. The modular storage includes a housing, a storage compartment in the housing, and a charger compartment in the housing including a battery pack interface configured to receive a power tool battery pack. The modular storage also includes an AC input receiving universal AC power and an active power factor correction (PFC) converter receiving AC power from the AC input and configured to convert the AC power to a high-voltage DC output. The modular storage further includes a DC-DC converter electrically connected between the active PFC converter and the battery pack interface, the DC-DC converter including an active clamp flyback converter.

A battery pack charging system includes a battery pack interface configured to receive a battery pack, a charging circuit coupled to the battery pack interface to provide charging current to the battery pack interface, and a controller coupled to the charging circuit and configured to control supply of charge current to the battery interface. The battery pack charging system further includes a power supply circuit coupled to the charging circuit, a filter circuit coupled to the power supply circuit and including a nanocrystalline ferrite common mode choke, and an alternating current plug configured to connect the filter circuit to an alternating current power source.
