In an example, a clamping assembly includes a longitudinal member having a first end and a second end, the second end defining a first clamp, a second clamp configured to attach to the first end of the longitudinal member and connect to a rod assembly, a clamping member including a first end, a second end defining a spherical portion, and a third clamp, where the first clamp of the longitudinal member is configured to receive the second end of the clamping member.

An instrument may be coupled to a multi-axis expandable intervertebral cage so that the cage may be inserted into an intervertebral space, expanded along multiple different directions, filled with bone graft, and locked with a fastener. The instrument may be part of an instrument set that includes auxiliary instruments to determine implant size, insert bone graft into the cage, and deliver the fastener.

Methods and instrumentation for intervertebral cage expansion

External fixation systems, and methods for immobilizing joints or fractured bones. An external fixation system may include one or more clamp assemblies connected to one or more rod assemblies at polyaxial joints. Each rod assembly may be length adjustable, and may include a one-way locking mechanism to provisionally lock the length of the rod assembly, and additional locking mechanisms to permanently lock the length of the rod assembly. The system may be deployed pre-assembled as a unit to immobilize a joint or fracture. Another external fixation system further includes a spanning member extending transverse to the rod assemblies. Two or more external fixation systems may be deployed in a stacked configuration on one set of bone pins to immobilize two joints and/or fractures. Systems and methods for bone anchor removal include a removal guide and a removal instrument. The removal guide includes grooves for guiding the removal instrument to the anchors, and for guiding removal of the anchor. The removal instrument includes a distal working end with a grasping feature designed to engage a portion of the bone anchor and an engagement feature designed to engage the grooves of the removal guide for anchor removal.
