An eye shield for protecting a user's eye has a shield that includes an aperture. The aperture has a first central axis, a medial side, and a lateral side, and a gasket that is coupled to the shield and disposed within the aperture. The gasket has a second central axis. The first central axis is at an oblique angle relative to the second central axis.

A pivot-arm assembly is provided for attaching an ear cup to a mounting feature on an exterior of a helmet. The pivot-arm assembly comprises a mount configured to releasably couple to the mounting feature. An arm has a first end configured to couple to the ear cup and a second end. A hinge is rotatable about a first axis and about a second axis. The hinge is coupled to the second end of the arm and disposed between the second end of the arm and the mount such that the first end of the arm is rotatable relative to the mount about the first axis and the first end of the arm is rotatable relative to the mount about the second axis. A biasing member is coupled to the arm and is configured to spring bias the first end of the arm relative to the mount in a rotatable direction about the second axis of the hinge.

An eye shield has an attachment device configured to be coupled to an optical device. The attachment device includes a clamping ring that has an open position and a closed position. The eye shield further has a shield coupled to the clamping ring to pivot away and towards the clamping ring, the shield extends laterally from the attachment device and a locking element that is disposed on the clamping ring and configured to lock the clamping ring in the closed position. The locking element has a locked and an unlocked position, and when the locking element is in the locked position the clamping ring is in the closed position.

A helmet mounted visor includes a lens that may be configured to extend across substantially all of a user's face. The helmet mounted visor may include a pair of mount arms coupled to the lens and each configured to releasably mount to a mount attached to a helmet. The pair of mount arms may each including first, second and third portions. The first portion may be rotatably coupled to the second portion about a first axis. The first portion may be rotatably coupled to the third portion about a second axis. The second axis may be generally perpendicular to the first axis. A locking mechanism may be provided and configured to selectively retain the first portion relative to the second portion in and between a use position where the lens is positioned in front of the user's face and a stowage position where the lens is positioned proximate the top of the helmet.

A biasing member is coupled to the arm and is configured to spring bias the first end of the arm relative to the mount in a rotatable direction about the second axis of the hinge.
