We disclose a monovinylarene-conjugated diene block copolymer containing a plurality of monovinylarene-conjugated diene mixed blocks, wherein each mixed block contains conjugated diene units and monovinylarene units in a weight ratio of about 0.05 to about 0.33. We also disclose a composition containing (a) from about 50 parts by weight to about 95 parts by weight of the monovinylarene-conjugated diene block copolymer and (b) from about 5 parts by weight to about 50 parts by weight of polystyrene; wherein the monovinylarene-conjugated diene block copolymer and the polystyrene total 100 parts by weight. We further disclose a method of shrink-wrapping an object or a group of objects by wrapping the object or the group of objects with a film containing the composition, to yield a wrapped object or group of objects, and heating the wrapped object or group of objects to a temperature and for a duration sufficient to shrink the film in at least a first direction, to yield a shrink-wrapped object or group of objects.

Styrene butadiene block copolymers for film applications

We disclose a monovinylarene/conjugated diene block copolymer, comprising: (i) a random (conjugated diene/monovinylarene)block, wherein x is about 2.5 wt % to about 10 wt %, y is from about 90 wt % to about 97.5 wt %, and x+y is about 97.5 wt % to 100 wt %; and (ii) a (conjugated diene)block; wherein n is from about 20 wt % to about 30 wt %, m is from about 70 wt % to about 80 wt %, and m+n is from about 90 wt % to 100 wt %. We also disclose a method of forming the block copolymer and a method for fabricating an article from the block copolymer. The block copolymer typically exhibits a Tat least about 10&#xb0; C. less than the Tof a reference polymer differing only in that x is about 0 wt % and y is about 100 wt %.

Monovinylarene/conjugated diene copolymers having lower glass transition temperatures

This invention relates to polymer blends, which comprise at least one tapered conjugated diene-monovinylarene block copolymer and at least one styrenic polymer. The polymer blends possess good optical and mechanical properties.

This invention relates to a low toxicity drilling mud oil. In some embodiments, the fluid loss characteristic of the drilling mud oil as used in a borehole can be reduced to less than 0.2 ml/30 minutes by adding about 0.05% to about 2.0% by weight of a butadiene-styrene-butadiene (BSB) block copolymer having about 20% by weight or more styrene.

The invention copolymers and blends of the invention copolymers with polymers of styrene are particularly useful for applications such as packaging and food or drink containers which require transparency, low blueness, colorlessness, good impact strength and ductility.
