Adaptive performance software, operating on a computing device, may be used to control an adaptive loudspeaker system within a venue. In some embodiments, the adaptive performance software may receive a selection of a target area within the venue. The adaptive performance software may then determine a smallest affected zone that includes the target area, and may present the smallest affected zone to the user to indicate what the affected area for the requested changes would be. In some embodiments, the adaptive performance software may take the shape of the venue, the capabilities of the loudspeaker array as configured and flown in the venue, and/or the specific setting changes which are desired in order to determine the smallest affected zone that includes the selected area.

Systems and methods for adaptive zone control of a large scale audio system

Audio loudspeakercan be arranged in various vertical arrays, such asor. Each loudspeakerincludes a generally trapezoidal-shaped housingcomposed of two forwardly projecting lobe sections. A pair of low-frequency cone transducersare housed in the lobe sections. A vertically arranged setof high-frequency compression drivers are positioned centrally in the housing to project in the forward direction. Three mid-frequency cone transducersare vertically arranged along opposite sides of the high frequency drivers. Each of the low-, mid-, and high-frequency transducers are individually powered and controlled by a separate DSP channel.

Method and system for large scale audio system

Audio loudspeakercan be arranged in various vertical arrays, such as. Each loudspeakeris identical in construction and includes a housinggenerally in the shape of a rectangular cuboid. A pair of ultra low-frequency transducersare positioned in the housing. Each of the ultra low-frequency transducers is individually powered and controlled by a separate DSP channel, thereby to directionally steer the transducer output.

A loudspeaker is provided for receiving an electrical signal and transmitting an acoustic signal through a transmission medium. The system includes generally two elements: a coaxial transducer and an acoustic transformer. The coaxial transducer includes a high-frequency driver and a mid-frequency driver that are coaxially arranged. The acoustic transformer is acoustically coupled to the coaxial transducer and includes an initial horn section that expands from a first end to a second end in a direction away from the coaxial transducer. The initial horn section defines a plurality of openings therethrough, such that the initial horn section is acoustically opaque to high-frequency acoustic signals to thereby function as a waveguide for the high-frequency acoustic signals, while it is acoustically transparent to mid-frequency acoustic signals.
