Techniques for application data scrubbing, reporting, and analysis are presented. A plurality of data sources are analyzed in accordance with their schemas and matching rules. Merging rules are applied to merge a number of data types across the data sources together. A report is produced for inspection and a master data source is generated. The processing can be iterated with rules modified in response to the report for purposes of refining the master data source.

Techniques for application data scrubbing, reporting, and analysis

Techniques for schema production and transformation are presented. Enterprise data from a plurality of data sources is analyzed to produce patterns to types of enterprise data. Merging rules group patterns together with entries across multiple schemas. Each schema associated with one of the data sources. A single entry is then produced within a single generic schema for each group of patterns. The generic schema can then be used to suggest changes to enterprise data policy and to make the enterprise data interoperable across the enterprise in an automated fashion.

Techniques for schema production and transformation

A method and system are disclosed for distributed dynamic security of a document. Portions of a document are associated with a plurality of member definitions. Each member definition contains an access right associated with a user. An access controller receives a request from a user and determines whether that user has sufficient access rights to access a portion of the document.

A directory shell references one or more directories. Each directory comprises a plurality of directory objects each having object attributes and attribute data. One or more categories in the directory shell is associated with one or more directory objects and at least a portion of the associated object attribute. A user interface is operable for a user to query the categories in the directory shell. A directory interface is operable to send a search request to the directories in accordance with the query and receive data from the directories that satisfy the search request.

Method and apparatus for presenting, searching, and viewing directories

Methods, systems, and data structures are provided for normalizing data characteristics between applications. A first application is associated with a first data characteristic, and a second application is associated with a second data characteristic. A most-restrictive or common data characteristic is determined from the first and second data characteristics. The most restrictive or common data characteristic is enforced on access attempts to the first or second applications.

Heterogeneous normalization of data characteristics

Methods, systems, and data structures map credentials. A master credential is established for a user or an application. The master credential is mapped to one or more service credentials associated with one or more services. When a request for a service is received from a requestor, the request is authenticated using the master credential. If the master credential is authenticated, then an appropriate service credential associated with the appropriate requested service is acquired and sent directly (via proxy) to the service on behalf of the requestor.
