An intraluminal ultrasound imaging device includes a flexible elongate member and an ultrasound imaging assembly coupled to a distal portion of the flexible elongate member. The ultrasound imaging assembly includes a flexible substrate comprising a scanner body portion, one or more control circuits mounted on the scanner body portion, and one or more transducer elements mounted on the scanner body portion. The ultrasound imaging assembly also includes an attachment portion extending proximally from the scanner body portion. The attachment portion defines a path that curves in a first direction and different second direction, and includes a plurality of conductive traces in electrical communication with the one or more control circuits. The plurality of conductive traces follows the curved path of the attachment portion, and each conductive trace comprises a pattern that bends relative to the curved path of the attachment portion.

Curved circuit substrate for intraluminal ultrasound imaging assembly

Improved intraluminal imaging devices and methods of manufacturing the devices are provided. In an embodiment, an intraluminal imaging device can include a flexible elongate member configured to be positioned within a body lumen of a patient, the flexible elongate member comprising a proximal portion and a distal portion, an ultrasound scanner assembly coupled to and positioned distally of the distal portion of the flexible elongate member, the ultrasound scanner assembly comprising a plurality of electrical components disposed adjacent to a cavity of the ultrasound scanner assembly, and a coating extending over and directly contacting the distal portion of the flexible elongate member and a portion of the ultrasound scanner assembly to hermetically seal the cavity of the ultrasound scanner assembly. The coating provides a uniform barrier layer extending over a junction of two or more components having diverse cross-sectional profiles to prevent ingress of external fluids into the scanner assembly.

Fluid barrier for intraluminal ultrasound imaging and associated devices, systems, and methods

An intraluminal device is provided. In on embodiment, an intraluminal device includes a flexible elongate member including a proximal portion and a distal portion; an imaging component coupled to the distal portion of the flexible elongate member; and a plurality of radiopaque markers positioned at the distal portion of the flexible elongate member, wherein the plurality of radiopaque markers are separated from each other, wherein the plurality of radiopaque markers are arranged on the flexible elongate member at two different orientations with respect to the imaging component, and wherein at least a first radiopaque marker of the plurality of radiopaque markers includes an arc-shaped portion and an extended portion extending from the arc-shaped portion.

Directional markers for intraluminal imaging device

An intravascular imaging probe including a multiple material support member or chassis, and associated devices, systems, and methods are provided. According to one embodiment, an intraluminal ultrasound imaging catheter includes a flexible elongate member configured to be positioned within a body lumen of a patient, a support member coupled to a distal portion of the flexible elongate member, and an ultrasound scanner assembly positioned around the support member. The support member includes a hollow inner member comprising a first material, and a first annular member positioned around a perimeter of the hollow inner member at a proximal portion of the hollow inner member. The first annular member extends radially outward from the hollow inner member and includes a second material that is different from the first material.

Intraluminal ultrasound assembly having a multiple material support member, and associated devices, systems, and methods

An imaging catheter assembly is provided. In one embodiment, the imaging catheter assembly includes a flexible elongate member comprising a distal portion and a proximal portion; a tip member coupled to a distal end of the distal portion of the flexible elongate member, wherein the tip member includes a tubular body comprising a closed distal end, an opened proximal end, and a proximal curved top outer wall extending from the proximal opened end and tapering into a distal flat top outer wall towards the closed distal end; and an imaging component mounted within the tip member. In one embodiment, the imaging catheter assembly includes a flexible elongate member; a tip member coupled to a distal end of the flexible elongate member, wherein the tip member includes a cylindrical body and a uniform outer diameter; and an imaging component mounted within the tip member.
