The invention relates to a cosmetic composition for bleaching the skin, which includes a) at least one oily plant extract from thegenus and b) at least one ascorbic acid ester. The invention further relates to the cosmetic, nontherapeutic use of the cosmetic composition according to the invention to treat excessive pigmentation, pigmentation disorders, age spots, and/or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation of the skin, and to a method for producing a cosmetic skin-bleaching composition in the form of an O/W or a W/O emulsion, wherein an oily extract from licorice roots is dissolved in the water phase by the addition of an ascorbic acid ester.

Antiperspirant compositions that are suitable in particular for application with a roller applicator and contain water, at least one antiperspirant aluminum-zirconium-glycine complex and also L-valine, wherein the weight ratio of glycine to L-valine is in the range of about 20:1 to about 4:1, have a high antiperspirant efficacy and are tolerated very well on the skin at the same time.

The invention relates to particles including, relative in each case to the particle weight, 30 to 90 wt. % of polyalphaolefin wax(es) and 10 to 70 wt. % of one or more cosmetic active agents, selected from fragrances, cooling active agents and mixtures of fragrances and cooling active agents, as well as to cosmetic compositions containing water and 0.01 to 10 wt. %, relative to the weight of the cosmetic composition, of one or more of the aforementioned particles.
