The present disclosure describes binder agents for printing three-dimensional green body objects, which can include water, an organic co-solvent, a nonionic surfactant, a dihydrazide compound, and latex particles. The nonionic surfactant can include two hydrophilic head groups and two hydrophobic tail groups per molecule.

Binder agents for three-dimensional printing

The present disclosure relates to a binding agent for printing a 3D green body object. The binding agent includes from about 0.3 wt % to about 3 wt % adhesion promoter including an aromatic maleic anhydride-containing copolymer, from about 2 wt % to about 20 wt % a (meth)acrylic latex binder, from about 10 wt % to about 40 wt % solvent package including from about 3 wt % to about 40 wt % of a coalescing solvent, and from about 40 wt % to about 88 wt % water. The weight percentage ranges are based on total content of the binding agent.

Binding agents for printing 3D green body objects

The present disclosure relates to a binding agent for printing a 3D green body object. The binding agent includes from about 0.3 wt % to about 3 wt % multi-functional carboxylic acid having a weight average molecular weight range from about 100 MW to about 1,000 MW, from about 2 wt % to about 20 wt % a (meth)acrylic latex binder, from about 10 wt % to about 40 wt % solvent package including from about 3 wt % to about 40 wt % of a coalescing solvent, and from about 40 wt % to about 88 wt % water. The weight percentage ranges are based on total content of the binding agent.

An ink composition can include carbon black pigment, from 50 wt % to 80 wt % water, from 15 wt % to 35 wt % organic solvent, from 0.25 wt % to 9 wt % free latex particles having an average particles size from 50 nm to 500 nm, from 0.1 wt % to 1 wt % C10 to C20 fatty acid, and lithium.

Ink compositions

The present disclosure is drawn to an inkjet printing system including an ink composition and a microfluidic ejection assembly. The ink composition can include carbon black pigment, from 50 wt % to 80 wt % water, from 10 wt % to 40 wt % of an organic solvent system, and from 0.5 wt % to 6 wt % polyurethane. The microfluidic ejection assembly can include a drop generator for externally ejecting the ink composition, and a fluid pump for internally inducing microfluidic recirculation flow of the ink composition into the drop generator.

Inkjet printing systems

An ink composition includes water, a co-solvent, a colorant, and a modified polymer or copolymer additive. The modified polymer or copolymer additive is selected from the group consisting of i) a hydrolyzed poly(isobutylene-alt-maleic anhydride), ii) a hydrolyzed poly(maleic anhydride-alt-1-octadecene), and iii) a modified polymer or copolymer. The modified polymer or copolymer includes a repeating unit of a backbone chain, and a long chain pendant group attached to a carbon atom of the repeating unit. In the backbone chain, the long chain pendant group of the repeating unit is separated by fewer than 8 spacer carbon atoms from another long chain pendant group of an adjacent repeating unit.
