The invention relates to a communication method within a network of wireless communicating electronic devices making it possible to dynamically and automatically control the propagation of enrollment messages during the creation of clusters. The invention also relates to any electronic device implementing said communication method and to any system comprising such a device. Such a communicating electronic device comprises a processing unit cooperating with a program memory comprising instructions of a program, of which the execution or interpretation by said processing unit causes the communication method to be implemented.

The invention concerns a wireless communication network that is particularly innovative and robust when said the network, comprising a plurality of nodes, has a dynamic topology. A method implemented by a communicating electronic device acting as a free node of said the network can request, on demand, a procedure for affiliation with a second device that is a member of a cluster. Affiliated with the cluster, a device implementing the method can communicate with a third device acting as cluster head in the same way as a member of the cluster. Such an invention makes it possible, in particular, to operate a traceability system for containers cooperating respectively with such devices on a storage area or a transport platform.

The invention relates to a method for joining a cluster comprising a plurality of communicating electronic devices. It also relates to any electronic device implementing said join method and any system comprising such a device. The latter advantageously comprises a processing unit, a data memory containing the value of an identifier dedicated to the device and a record to contain the current value of an identifier of a device acting as cluster head and a datum expressing the capacity of the latter to perform a specific service. The device also comprises a program memory containing instructions of a program the execution or interpretation of which by the processing unit causes the implementation of the join method.
