The invention relates to a stent and a system for putting in place a stent. Said stent is used especially for splinting a vein and consists of a braided, tubular supporting member () that has a minimum length of 60 mm. The supporting member is braided from one or more wires in such a way that portions of the wire or wires, resp., delimit rhombuses. The disclosed stent is characterized in that in the unloaded state of the stent, the longitudinal size of most of the rhombuses () in the longitudinal direction () of the stent () is not shorter than the transversal size of the rhombuses.

Stent for splinting a vein, and system for putting in place a stent

According to the invention an apparatus for extrusion of a structured extrudate, which can be introduced into a human or animal body, is provided. This apparatus comprises an extrusion apparatus with a housing, whereas the housing has a revolving lateral wall which at a front end in the direction of production is provided with a nozzle wall with an outlet nozzle, and in the direction of production prior to that with a global sleeve, whereas the space in the housing between the global sleeve, the lateral wall and the outlet nozzle confines an extrusion space, and the housing in the region of the extrusion space can be connected to a polymer feeding appliance. In the global sleeve at least one guide channel extending in the direction of production is provided in order to be able to insert at least one rod-shaped body from a feeding appliance for rod-shaped bodies into the extrusion space, whereas the at least one guide channel is arranged in about straight alignment to the outlet nozzle.

Apparatus for extruding a structured extrudate

The present invention relates to a stent for splinting a nasal passage. The stent consists of a braided tubular support body which, in unloaded state, has a diameter of at least 4 mm and a length in the range of 25 to 120 mm and particularly of 25 to 100 mm. The stent may have a widened section at the proximal end for splinting of the nasal alar. It may alternatively or in combination have a fixation section at the proximal end of the stent for fixation of the stent in a nasal passage of a user. When fixed the fixation section protrudes from the nostril of the user and can be fixed outside of the nose.

The invention relates to a rod-shaped body comprising a central section and a peripheral section, wherein the central section is arranged in the center of the rod-shaped body and is enclosed by the peripheral section. Both the central section and the peripheral section substantially extend along the entire length of the rod-shaped body. The central section comprises at least one non-metallic fiber bundle that is embedded in a non-ferromagnetic matrix material. The matrix material is doped with marker particles. The peripheral section comprises at least one undoped, non-ferromagnetic matrix material. The diameter of the central section is less than or equal to 0.2 mm, preferably less than or equal to 0.15 mm, and even more preferably, less than or equal to 0.1 mm, and in particular less than or equal to 0.08 mm.
