A laminated glass for windows has a multilayer structure, wherein plural sheets of glass are laminated through a resin layer. The sheet glasses are made of an alkali-free borosilicate glass. Each sheet glass has a thickness of 1 mm or less, and the total thickness of the sheet glasses is 2 to 10 mm.

A laminated glass () has a structure in which seven sheet glasses () and six PVB resin layers () are laminated alternately. A laminated region from a transparent surface () on one side to 4.0 mm comprises two 0.7 mm-thick glass layers formed of two sheet glasses (), one 0.8 mm-thick glass layer formed of the portion () of one 1.5 mm-thick sheet glass () positioned in the laminated region, and two adhesion layers () with thicknesses of 1.3 mm and 0.5 mm. Each of the adhesion layers is interposed between the glass layers and is adhered to the glass layers. The laminated region with a depth of 4.0 mm from a transparent surface () on the other side also has the same laminated structure as that in the above laminated region.

A substrate is made of a crystallized glass having translucency and an average linear thermal expansion coefficient of &#x2212;5&#xd7;10/&#xb0; C. at 30 to 500&#xb0; C. The substrate has a first surface (working surface) of a smooth surface having a surface roughness Rmax of less than 0.5 &#x3bc;m, and a second surface (non-working surface) of a rough surface having a surface roughness Rmax of 4 &#x3bc;m. A light shielding layer consisting of a light shielding film and an antioxidant film is formed on the second surface of the substrate through sputtering.

In a window member () to be used as a window of a combustion apparatus, adjusting means is bonded to a substrate () made of glass. The adjusting means adjusts an average transmittance of the window member so that the average transmittance at a thickness of 4 mm for an electromagnetic wave having a wavelength of 0.4&#x2013;0.8 &#x3bc;m falls within a range between 10 and 50%. The adjusting means may comprise a film member () bonded to a principal surface () of the substrate.

A top plate is provided for use in a cooking device having an induction heater alone or an infrared heater in addition, which comprises a transparent crystallized glass plate, a light-shading film on a bottom surface of the glass plate and an ornamental film formed on the top surface of the glass plate. The light-shading film is a porous layer of inorganic pigment powder dispersed in glass matrix. The light-shading film has small apertures at a portion corresponding to the infrared heater. Alternatively, it has a decreased thickness at the portion. In another alternative, a luster film is used in place of the inorganic pigment layer at the portion corresponding to the infrared heater.

In an Li O&mdash;Al O &mdash;SiO transparent crystallized glass, &bgr;-quartz solid solution is produced as main crystals, an average coefficient of linear thermal expansion within a range between 30 and 380&deg; C. is &minus;10&tilde;10&times;10 /&deg;C., and &bgr;-OH in an amount of 0.28/mm or more is contained. Preferably, the content of each component of Li O, SiO , and Al O satisfies, by weight ratio, the relationship given by 0.058&gE;&lcub;Li O/(SiO &plus;Al O )&rcub;&gE;0.031.

Li O&mdash;Al O &mdash;SiO crystallized glass is provided which has clarity and glass characteristics equivalent to or superior to a conventional crystallized glass, even when the content of As O is decreased. The Li O&mdash;Al O &mdash;SiO crystallized glass consists essentially of, by weight, 60 to 75% SiO , 17 to 27% Al O , 3 to 5% Li O, 0 to 0.9% MgO, 0 to 0.9% ZnO, 0.3 to 5% BaO, 0 to 3% Na O, 0 to 3% K O, 0 to 4% TiO , 1 to 4% ZrO , 0 to 4% P O , 0.05 to 2% Sb O , 0 to 0.9% MgO&plus;ZnO, and 0 to 4% Na O&plus;K O.

Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2 crystallized glass and crystallizable glass therefor

Li O&mdash;Al O &mdash;SiO crystallized glass is provided which has clarity and glass characteristics equivalent to or superior to a conventional crystallized glass, even when the content of As O is decreased. The Li O&mdash;Al O &mdash;SiO crystallized glass contains, by weight, 0.05 to 4% Sb O , in which the content of &bgr;-OH is 0.3 to 4/mm.

In order to provide an enamel frit composition capable of preventing a hue of a low-expansion crystallized glass plate of a dark color from being seen through an enamel coating without increasing the thickness of the enamel coating and the mixing ratio of a coloring pigment as well as to provide an enamel-coated low-expansion crystallized glass plate using the above-mentioned composition, the enamel frit composition for a low-expansion crystallized glass essentially consists, by weight, of 30-94 wt % glass powder, 5-69 wt % TiO.sub.2 powder, and 0.05-34 wt % coloring pigment.
