A cathode-ray tube (CRT) holding device holds a CRT from the rear side by a rib section having a shape similar to that of a funnel of the CRT and extending in plural directions. The rib section has a section having shaped in a recessed groove, and a degaussing coil is disposed in the groove. The CRT holding device has a low cost and a raised recycling rate. Without increasing the number of parts, the degaussing coil can be mounted.

A radiator (3) is coupled by caulked joints with fitting plates (5, 15) fixed to the substrate (8) by soldering. By heat-conductively attaching the fitting plate (5, 15) to both sides of the radiator (3), apertures (7) for receiving a prying tool (6) are formed between the radiator (3) and the fitting plate (5, 15). The fitting plate (5, 15) is pried open by the typical tool, thereby the radiator (3) is easily separated from the substrate (8) in order to be used as recycling resources.

The present invention relates to a structure of positioning a cathode ray tube in a cabinet of a television receiver. In the television receiver, at least one portion of each of front window frames of the cabinet for positioning the cathode ray tube therein is formed as to be elastically deformable outwardly due to a contacting relationship between the cathode ray tube and the cabinet when assembling them. Because at least one portion of each of the front window frames is elastically deformed, a variation in a dimensional relationship between the cabinet and the cathode ray tube caused when securing the cathode ray tube to the cabinet can be compensated. Preferably, the front window frame is formed in such a manner that a thickness thereof is gradually reduced from the proximal end toward the free end.
