Resistor electron gun for cathode-ray tube using the same and method of manufacturing resistor

A color cathode-ray tube which increases the degree of freedom in designing its main electron lens, decreases the electron beam spot diameter, and achieves high resolution, in which the between the focusing electrode (15) applied with the focusing voltage (Vf) and the anode electrode (17) applied with the anode voltage (Va), there is provided an intermediate electrode (16) applied with the potential Vm which is higher than the focusing voltage (Vf) and lower than the anode voltage (Va), and the focusing electrode (15). These voltages are set by a dividing resistor (30).

Color cathode-ray tube

To propose a color cathode-ray tube which increases the degree of freedom in designing its main electron lens, decreases the electron beam spot diameter, and achieves high resolution, in which between the focusing electrode (15) applied with the focusing voltage (Vf) and the anode electrode (17) applied with the anode voltage (Va), there is provided the intermediate electrode (16) applied with the potential Vm which is higher than the focusing voltage (Vf) and lower than the anode voltage (Va), and the focusing electrode (15), the anode electrode (17) and the intermediate electrode (16) are respectively formed of cylindrical bodies each having an ellipse cross-section and closed by the electric field correcting electrode plates (25, 26, 27, 28) having three electron beam penetrating portions bored therethrough so as to be arrayed in an in-line fashion.

To provide a cathode ray tube stabilizing the potential at an inner wall of a neck, providing stabilized nocking effect by forced discharge among electrodes or the like, promoting the withstand voltage characteristic of an electron gun and preventing deterioration in image quality resulted from straying leakage current, an electron gun where both ends of metal lines are welded to an intermediate electrode and a focus electrode (5-1-th electrode) to surround beading glass and a voltage dividing resistor, is sealed in a neck portion and thereafter, the metal lines are heated by high frequency heating by which a metal film is formed on surfaces of an inner wall of the neck and the voltage dividing resistor and the beading glass.

Cathode ray tube

An in-line electron gun for a color cathode ray tube having a main lens comprised of an in-line focusing electrode and accelerating electrode, with which it is possible to easily improve an assembly precision of field-correcting electrode plates provided at the focusing electrode and accelerating electrode and having three through apertures through which the R, G, and B electron beams pass and with which it is possible to easily perform an adjustment of aberration of the main lens. The two side through apertures among the three through apertures formed in the field-correcting electrode plate provided at the focusing electrode and accelerating electrode are formed basically as circular apertures with arc shaped cut-away portions continuous with the outside of the circular apertures and concentric with the circular apertures.
