A conveying apparatus includes: an article detection device; a gripping device with base portion and palm portion, a suction portion, fingers, and a driving mechanism; a negative pressure supplying device; a moving device; a recognition device that measures the shape, the posture, and the size of the article; an operation plan generation device that selects a suction surface of the article, and plans a gripping posture; and a control device that controls an operation of the gripping device and an operation of the moving device to obtain a gripping posture planned by the operation plan generation device.

According to one embodiment, a sheet handling apparatus includes a conveying path to convey a sheet, a processing portion to perform a predetermined process on the sheet while conveying the sheet on the conveying path, a separable roller pair that is arranged at a certain distance from the processing portion on an upstream side or a downstream side in conveying direction, the separable roller pair being adapted to hand over the sheet between the conveying path and the processing portion by holding the sheet with a nip and rotating, a separating mechanism to separate the separable roller pair, and a controller that controls the separating mechanism such that the separable roller pair is separated before or after processing is started with the processing portion on a sheet that is conveyed on the conveying path.

To provide a sheet take-out apparatus for preventing double feed of sheets and controlling gaps to a desired value, a sheet processing apparatus, and a sheet take-out method. A take-out apparatus includes a supply structure for supplying postal matter to a take-out position, a take-out structure for taking out the postal matter from the take-out position, and a conveying structure for receiving and conveying the postal matter taken out on a conveying path. When a leading edge of the postal matter is held by the conveying structure, an absorbing operation of a vacuum pump is stopped and a moving speed of a take-out belt is reduced. Furthermore, when the postal matter is detected by a sensor, the take-out belt is stopped.

Sheet take-out apparatus, sheet processing apparatus, and sheet take-out method

A sheet take-out apparatus includes a supplying structure configured to move a plurality of sheets supplied in a stacking state in a stacking direction and supply a sheet at a leading edge thereof in a movement direction to a take-out position, a take-out structure configured to make contact with the sheet supplied to the take-out position and rotate, thereby taking out the sheet in a direction almost orthogonal to the stacking direction, and move the sheet to a conveying route, a suction structure configured to generate an air current to suck the sheet at the leading edge in the movement direction to the take-out position on an upstream side of a position where the take-out structure makes contact with the sheet in the sheet take-out direction by the take-out structure, and a controller configured to control an operation of the suction structure so as to decrease suction force by the suction structure when the sheet at the leading edge in the movement direction is not taken out by the take-out structure.

Sheet take-out apparatus

A sheet handling apparatus is provided that includes a take-out member to take out a sheet from a take-out position by rotating the sheet in a state in which negative pressure is applied to the sheet and the sheet is adsorbed to the take-out member. A conveyor portion receives and conveys the taken out sheet by the take-out member and a control portion controls the take-out member such that, when the sheet at the take-out position is being adsorbed to the take-out member, the take-out member is rotated at a circumferential speed that is slower than a conveying speed of the sheet at the conveyor portion. In addition, when the sheet adsorbed to the take-out member is being transferred to the conveyor portion, the take-out member is rotated at a circumferential speed that is the same as a conveying speed of the conveyor portion at that time.

Sheet handling apparatus and sheet handling method

According to one embodiment, a sheet take out apparatus includes a supply table on which sheets are stacked; a detecting portion configured to detect a state of a top surface of the stacked sheets; a cylindrical take out rotor which is rotatably provided so as to face an end portion on a take out side of a top sheet and partially includes a suction hole to attract the sheet, the take out rotor taking out the sheets one by one by attracting the end portion on the take out side of the sheet with rotation; a suction portion which is provided inside the take out rotor and includes an air hole to attract the sheet through the suction hole, the suction portion provided so as to allow the air hole to rotationally move between a first opening position and a second opening position, the first opening position having a first distance away from the end portion on the take out side of the sheet, the second opening position having a second distance, which is longer than the first distance, away from the end portion on the take out side of the sheet; and a drive structure configured to rotationally move the suction portion to any of the first opening position and the second opening position based on state information detected by the detecting portion.

Sheet take out apparatus and sheet processing apparatus

A take-out device includes a take-out mechanism which takes out postal matters supplied to a take-out position at one end of a deposit section one by one, a separating mechanism which separates second and subsequent postal matters that are carried along with a postal matter to be taken out from the take-out position, and an auxiliary mechanism which applies a negative pressure to the postal matter on the take-out position so as to feed it in both forward and opposite directions. The separating mechanism applies a negative pressure to the postal matter on the conveyance path via a plurality of adsorption holes of a separating roller so as to adsorb it, and applies a separating torque in an opposite direction to the take-out direction thereto.

Paper sheet separating and take-out device

A paper sheet feeding device for sequentially feeding, to a conveyance path, mail items simultaneously received includes a suction mechanism provided adjacent to a pickup position. The suction mechanism includes a chamber having an opening opposed to the pickup position, a guide plate provided at the opening of the chamber, and two projections vertically arranged on the surface of the guide plate. When air is drawn from the pickup position through a plurality of suction holes formed in the guide plate, the leading one of the mail items closest to the pickup position is drawn to the pickup position, and is curved between the two projections. A handling nozzle blows air into the space that is formed between the leading mail item and a subsequent mail item when the leading mail item is curved.

Paper sheet feeding device

A sheets processing apparatus includes a first processing portion having a first switchback portion for reversing the conveying direction of postal matter branched and conveyed from a main conveying path and a first U-turn path for reversing the front and back of the postal matter and a second processing portion having a second U-turn path for reversing the front and back of the postal matter branched and conveyed from the main conveying path and a second switchback portion for reversing the conveying direction of the postal matter. The first switchback portion is arranged inside the second U-turn path and the second switchback portion is arranged inside the first U-turn path.

Sheets processing apparatus

A sheet takeout device includes a takeout belt brought into contact with a sheet set in a takeout position to generate negative pressure to adsorb the sheet, and traveled in a direction of an arrow T, and a separation roller which separates second and following sheets associatively taken out with the sheet. Triggered by detection of its leading end at a second sensor, an opposite-direction separation force is applied to the sheet to be conveyed via the separation roller.

A sheet material feeding apparatus includes a feed-out device that brings the stacked sheet materials conveyed on a floor belt into contact with a pickup roller and feeds the sheet materials out in a direction crossing the conveying direction of the stacked sheet materials by rotation of the pickup roller, and an inclination correcting device provided in an upstream of the feed-out device in its sheet material feeding direction and including an upper roller located at a position higher than that of the pickup roller, that brings an upper side of the stacked sheet materials conveyed towards the feed-out device into contact with the upper roller to correct the inclination of the stacked sheet materials.

A sheets separation/conveying apparatus has a pick-up roller to take out sheets in the piled up state on the conveying path. The sheets taken out on the conveying path are checked when passing the first roller and plural sheets being conveyed in the overlapped state are detected by a detector and separated each other by the second roller.

A sheet direction inverting apparatus has a switchback portion for inverting the conveying direction of mails and the switchback portion has a drive roller and a driven roller. The length of mails sent to nips of the two rollers in the conveying direction is detected by a sensor, and after switching back, the length of the mails sent from the switchback portion in the conveying direction is detected by a sensor, and an overlapped sheets detector compares detection results. When the detection results are different, the overlapped sheets detector detects overlapping of the mails.
