A power transmission device includes: a fixing member having a cylindrical surface; an output shaft having a facing surface facing the cylindrical surface; an input shaft having a pressing portion disposed between the cylindrical surface and the facing surface; and a pair of rolling elements. The facing surface includes a recessed surface. The recessed surface has a bottom surface and a pair of pressed surfaces. The bottom surface has a central surface and a pair of cam surfaces. A distance between the cam surface and the cylindrical surface increases from the central surface toward the pressed surface. A distance between the cam surface and the cylindrical surface is smaller than a diameter of the rolling element in the portion closer to the central surface, and is greater than the diameter of the rolling element in the portion closer to the pressed surface.

Power transmission device

An object is to provide a compact and lightweight clutch apparatus by using a mechanical clutch. A clutch apparatus includes a one-way clutch and a mechanical clutch arranged in parallel in an axial direction, in which the mechanical clutch is movably retained in the axial direction, and when the mechanical clutch moves in the axial direction due to pushing means, the mechanical clutch engages with an end surface of an inner wheel of the one-way clutch.

Clutch apparatus

A one way clutch comprises an outer race including pockets having a cam surface and projecting portions disposed inwardly in a radial direction and extending toward an inner race; the inner race disposed away from the outer race in an inner diameter direction, relatively rotatably disposed concentrically with the outer race, and having an outer peripheral surface; torque transmission members arranged in the pockets to transmit a torque between the cam surface of the outer race and the outer peripheral surface of the inner race; springs for urging the torque transmission members in such a direction that the torque transmission members mesh with the cam surface of the outer race; and bearing members arranged between the outer race and the inner race and interposed between the projecting portions of the outer race and the outer peripheral surface, of the inner race.
