A pull-on disposable wearing article has a base sheet including an inner sheet and an outer sheet. A plurality of auxiliary elastic members extending across a panel are interposed between the inner sheet and the outer sheet and attached to these sheets between waist surrounding elastic members and leg-holes so that these auxiliary elastic members may contract in the waist-circumferential direction. Each of the auxiliary elastic members has transversely opposite end portions secured to the inner and outer sheets and an intermediate portion not directly bonded to the inner and outer sheets.

A disposable pull-on diaper includes front and rear waist regions and a pair of tape fasteners secured to an outer surface of the front waist region or the rear waist region. A tape member forming each of the tape fasteners has a distal end portion and a proximal end portion wherein the distal end portion is releasably attached to joining zones along which the front and rear waist regions are joined together.

A disposable diaper has a through-hole formed in an inner sheet destined to come in contact with a wearer's skin so that this through-hole may communicate with a pocket for receiving feces. In a crotch region of the diaper, a stiffening sheet strips are attached to the inner sheet between the transversely opposite side edges of the diaper and the transversely opposite side edges so that the respective stiffening sheet strips extend in a transverse direction.

A disposable diaper having a backsheet that defines a garment facing surface and an outer surface provided with an adhesive tape for holding the diaper in a rolled-up state. The adhesive tape includes fastening and reinforcing tapes. The fastening tape is folded back in an inner tape section and an outer tape section. The inner tape section is fixed near its end to the backsheet and spaced from the backsheet near a folded portion that is contiguous to the outer tape section. The outer tape section is coated with an adhesive and temporarily fixed to the inner tape section. The reinforcing tape is folded back in two sections in a direction opposite to that in which the fastening tape is folded back. The reinforcing tape is fixed to the inner tape section near the folded portion and is also to the backsheet.

A pull-on disposable diaper has a body fluid absorbing component folded inward in a transverse direction of the diaper so that a width of the body fluid absorbing component may be reduced in a crotch covering region. In vicinities of leg-holes, elastic members intersect transversely opposite side edges of the body fluid absorbing component above points X, Y at which the side edges of the body fluid absorbing component intersect folding guides.

A transverse dimension between the transversely opposite side edges is minimized in the vicinity of bottoms of the respective leg-holes. The leg-surrounding flaps are tucked along the first and second folding lines into the respective leg-holes.

A disposable wearing article comprises a liquid-pervious topsheet, a liquid-impervious backsheet and a liquid-absorbent panel interposed between the top- and backsheets. The backsheet is formed by a breathable and hydrophobic first fibrous nonwoven fabric layer underlying the panel, a breathable and liquid-impervious plastic film underlying the first fibrous nonwoven fabric layer and a breathable and hydrophobic second fibrous nonwoven fabric layer underlying the film. In a zone occupied by the panel, the first fibrous nonwoven fabric layer is intermittently joined to an under surface of the panel by means of a hot melt adhesive and the film is intermittently joined to the first fibrous nonwoven fabric layer by means of the hot melt adhesive.

A disposable sanitary article having elastic members extending to be associated with leg-openings secured under tension to the article along transversely opposite side edge portions of the sanitary article. The transversely opposite side edge portions respectively have first elastic zones extending across a crotch region in the longitudinal direction along a desired length, second elastic zones extending from the first elastic zones into a front waist region along a desired length and third elastic zones extending from the first elastic zones into a rear waist region along a desired length. The sections of the elastic members extending along the second elastic zones and the third elastic zones has values of stretch stress represented by a relationship of the second elastic zones&#x3c;the third elastic zones or the third elastic zones&#x3c;the second elastic zones.

Disposable sanitary article and process for providing such article with elastic members associated with leg-openings

A disposable body fluid absorbent article includes a liquid-absorbent core. The core is provided in the vicinity of opposite side edges extending in a longitudinal direction with depressed regions tapering from an upper surface toward a lower surface of the core. A density of the core components in the depressed regions is lower then or equal to a density of the core components in the remaining region of the core.
