The present invention relates to a system oil composition for crosshead diesel engines, the system oil composition having excellent heat resistance and being effective for improvement of fuel efficiency. More specifically, the present invention relates to a system oil composition for crosshead diesel engines in which the system oil composition includes a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil as a base oil (A) and has a kinematic viscosity of at least 35 mm/s at 50&#xb0; C., a high-shear viscosity of at most 45 mPa&#xb7;s at 50&#xb0; C., and a high-shear viscosity of at least 15 mPa&#xb7;s at 70&#xb0; C.

System oil composition for crosshead diesel engine

The present invention provides a cylinder lubricating oil composition for a crosshead-type diesel engine, which is improved in oxidation stability and anti-scuffing properties besides the properties of the conventional cylinder lubricating oil composition and comprises a base oil having an aromatic content of 8.5 percent by mass or more and on the basis of the total mass of the composition (A) an alkaline earth metal phenate in an amount of 0.005 mole/kg or more on the basis of phenate soap content, (B) an aminic antioxidant in an amount of 0.1 to 5 percent by mass and (C) an oil-soluble molybdenum compound in an amount of 30 to 500 ppm by mass on the basis of molybdenum and having a base number of 20 to 100 mgKOH/g and a 100&#xb0; C. kinematic viscosity of 12.6 mm/s or higher.

Cylinder lubricating oil composition for crosshead-type diesel engine

Hydraulic oil compositions for shock absorbers comprises a lubricating base oil and at least one type of silicone oil selected from the group consisting of silicone oils with a kinematic viscosity at 25&#xb0; C. of 10,000 to 350,000 mm/s and fluorine-modified silicone oils with a kinematic viscosity at 25&#xb0; C. of less than 10,000 mm/s. The compositions may further comprise a viscosity index improver. The compositions can enhance the damping force and initial damping properties of a shock absorber and thus improve the ride comfort of an automobile equipped with such a shock absorber.
