An overcurrent protection device is to be provided between a power supply and a load circuit including an electric load and an electric wire electrically connected with each other, and includes a switching element, a current detector, a characteristic estimation portion, and a controller. The switching element switches flowing and interrupting of a load current that flows from the power supply to the electric load. The current detector detects the load current. The characteristic estimation portion estimates a thermal characteristic of the electric wire based on the load current detected by the current detector. The controller outputs an overcurrent protection signal for interrupting the load current so as to protect the load circuit from an overcurrent to the switching element based on the thermal characteristic estimated by the characteristic estimation portion and the load current detected by the current detector.

A load driving device includes an H bridge circuit that includes a first upstream switching element, a first downstream switching element, a second upstream switching element, a second downstream switching element, a first output terminal between the first upstream switching element and the second downstream switching element, and a second output terminal between the second upstream switching element and the first downstream switching element. A first load is connected between the first output terminal and the second output terminal, and a second load is connected between a ground potential point and one of the first output terminal and the second output terminal.

Load driving device

A load drive circuit is configured to control driving of an electric load that is a direct current load, and includes a controller, a switching element, and a current detection portion. The controller generates and outputs a control signal for controlling a flowing state of a load current that flows to the electric load. The switching element switches flowing and interrupting of the load current based on the control signal. The current detection portion detects the load current. The controller includes a type determination portion and a control signal output portion. The type determination portion determines a type of the electric load based on the load current detected by the current detection portion. The control signal output portion generates and outputs the control signal based on the type determined by the type determination portion.

Load drive circuit

An electric connection box includes a resin plate having a connector terminal soldered to a via hole of a circuit substrate. The circuit substrate and the resin plate are inserted to be housed in an opening part of a casing of the electric connection box. A housing is positioned in the opening part and functioning as a cover closing an opening side of the casing. The circuit substrate is supported by the housing and the casing through the resin plate that is held between the housing and the casing while the circuit substrate is spaced from the housing and the casing.

In a relay module device, a signal converting section transmits driving signals of switching elements when receiving input signals from an external device and sets a relationship between the input signals and the driving signals. The relationship includes a first mode in which the signal converting section transmits the driving signals to separately control one of the switching elements with respect to one of the input signals, and a second mode in which the signal converting section transmits the driving signals to concurrently control two or more of the switching elements with respect to one of the input signals.
