A vehicle includes a pump configured to discharge a fuel by reciprocating a plunger, a rail configured to store the fuel discharged from the pump, and a fuel injection valve configured to inject the fuel supplied from the rail. A controller for the vehicle includes a waveform obtaining unit and a phase shift obtaining unit. The waveform obtaining unit is configured to obtain a waveform of a fuel pressure in the rail as a function of time in a predetermined period. The phase shift obtaining unit is configured to obtain a phase shift based on the waveform obtained by the waveform obtaining unit. The phase shift is an offset between a timing the plunger reciprocated in the pump arrives at a first position and a timing a piston reciprocating in an internal combustion engine arrives at a second position.

Controller

A data analyzer for analyzing characterization data to form fuel injection control, including a data obtainer that obtains data from a detection signal of a sensor as a time-series data that changes over time. The data analyzer further includes a differentiator that differentiates the time-series data obtained by the data obtainer, a moving averager that calculates a moving average of the differentiated time-series data by the differentiator, an identifier that identifies a waveform of the time-series data based on the moving average calculated by the moving averager, and a data characterizer characterizes the time-series data based on the waveform of the time-series data identified by the identifier. As such, noise is removed as much as possible, and characteristics of time-series data become analyzable.

Data analyzer

An electronic control unit detects a manner of fluctuation of a fuel pressure with injection of fuel by a fuel injection valve with the use of a fuel pressure sensor, and calculates a tendency of deviation of an actual fuel injection characteristic of the fuel injection valve with respect to a basic fuel injection characteristic on the basis of a result of comparison between a detected temporal waveform and a basic temporal waveform. The tendency of deviation is reflected at a predetermined reflection rate (R) at the time of updating a learned value (Gij) for compensating for an individual difference of the fuel injection valve. The predetermined reflection rate (R) is increased when an accumulated value (D) of a vehicle travel distance is shorter than a predetermined value (Dth) as compared with when the accumulated value (D) is longer than or equal to the predetermined value (Dth).

Fuel injection control device and fuel injection control method for internal combustion engine

An electronic control unit, in an idle operating state, detects a crankshaft rotation fluctuation in each cylinder using a crank angle sensor, and updates an individual correction value for a control value for each fuel injection valve as a first learned value such that a degree of deviation in the crankshaft rotation fluctuation among the cylinders reduces. The electronic control unit uses a fuel pressure sensor to detect a manner of a fuel pressure fluctuation with fuel injection by each fuel injection valve, and updates an individual correction value for a control value for each fuel injection valve as a second learned value based on a result of comparison between a detected temporal waveform and a basic temporal waveform. In an idle operating state, a learning rate of the second learned value is reduced until the first learned value converges for the first time as compared with after its convergence.

Control device and control method for multi-cylinder internal combustion engine

A waveform detector detects a variation in fuel pressure based on a detection value of a fuel pressure sensor as a fuel pressure waveform. A determining portion determines whether an interval between injections is zero or smaller than a predetermined value based on the detected fuel pressure waveform when multi-step-injection is performed. A correcting portion corrects an injection command signal indicative of an injection start timing and an injection end timing corresponding to a target injection state in a manner that the interval is increased when the interval is determined to be zero or smaller than the predetermined value.

Fuel injection control device

A fuel injection system has a common rail storing fuel, a fuel injector injecting the fuel, a fuel-passage supplying the fuel to the fuel injector, and a fuel-pressure sensor detecting a fuel pressure. An ECU acquires a waveform of a fuel pressure representing a change of a fuel pressure based on the detected fuel pressure at the fuel injection. The ECU calculates a speed of a fuel pressure wave forming the waveform of the fuel pressure based on a period of a pulsation of the waveform of the fuel pressure and a fuel passage length, and a fuel density based on the speed of the fuel pressure wave. The ECU further calculates a fuel cetane number, and a kinematic viscosity of the fuel based on the fuel density and the fuel cetane number. The ECU judges fuel properties based on the kinematic viscosity of the fuel.

Fuel property judgment device and method of judging fuel property

A fuel injection controller includes an output detecting portion detecting a first output generated by a combustion of a fuel which a sensor-injector injects and a second output generated by a combustion of a fuel which the second fuel injector injects, a first injection quantity computing portion computing, based on a detection value of the fuel pressure sensor, a first injection quantity injected by the sensor-injector injector to generate the first output, and a second injection quantity estimating portion estimating a second injection quantity injected by the second fuel injector to generate the second output, based on the first output, the second output and the first injection quantity.

Fuel injection controller

An apparatus extracts a main waveform component and a branch waveform component from a pressure waveform detected by a fuel pressure sensor. The main waveform component is caused by pressure change traveling in a main passage. The branch waveform component is caused by pressure change traveling in a branch passage. The apparatus calculates traveling speeds based on the components. Then, the apparatus estimates a main passage temperature based on a detected value of the fuel temperature sensor, the traveling speeds, the fuel pressure waveform and an average pressure.

Apparatus of estimating fuel state

A fuel injection system has a fuel injector and a fuel pressure sensor. An ECU acquires a pressure waveform detected by the fuel pressure sensor during performing a multi-stage injection as a detected waveform at the time of the multi-stage injection, memorizes a model waveform, which is used as a standard of the pressure waveform when an injection that is preceding an target injection is performed without performing the target injection when any one of an injection of a second stage or later of an injection is considered as the target injection among multi-stage injections, and extracts the pressure waveform resulting from the target injection by deducting the model waveform from the detected waveform at the multi-stage injection. The ECU corrects the model waveform used for extraction by a ratio according to a maximum injection rate in the injection of the preceding stage.

Fuel pressure waveform acquisition device

Provided is a vehicle-mounted radar device capable of obtaining a high azimuth resolution with a simple configuration. The vehicle-mounted radar device is mounted on a vehicle, and includes: a detector for irradiating a periphery of the vehicle with electromagnetic waves, and for outputting a reception signal obtained from reflected waves that are reflected from an object that exists in the periphery of the vehicle; a vehicle information calculator for calculating information related to a movement of the vehicle with a use of vehicle information of the vehicle; a storage unit for storing a plurality of the reception signals outputted by the detector at different time points; and a synthetic aperture processor for conducting a synthetic aperture processing on the reception signals obtained by the vehicle at different positions, based on the information related to the movement of the vehicle.

Vehicle-mounted radar device

A control apparatus includes a learning portion which learns a control parameter by correcting a learning vector consisting of a plurality of variables and a control parameter based on a measurement vector. The control apparatus further includes an interpolation portion which computes the control parameter corresponding to current variables which represent a current environmental condition by interpolating the control parameter learned by the learning portion. The interpolation portion includes a selecting portion which selects three learning vectors from a plurality of learning vectors, and which computes the control parameter corresponding to the current variables by interpolating the control parameters on a flat surface including the selected three learning vectors.

Control apparatus

A fuel-pressure waveform detector has a detect-waveform obtaining unit for obtaining a multi-stage injection pressure waveform by means of a fuel-pressure sensor while performing a multi-stage fuel injection during one combustion cycle. A model waveform memory stores a reference model pressure waveform of when a single fuel injection is performed. A waveform extracting unit extracts a pressure waveform due to the subject fuel injection by subtracting the reference model pressure waveform from the multi-stage injection pressure waveform. A correction unit corrects the reference model pressure waveform in such a manner that its attenuation degree becomes larger as a fuel injection period of the subject fuel injection is longer.

Fuel-pressure waveform detector

An actual maximum fuel injection rate is computed based on a falling waveform and a rising waveform of the fuel pressure. The falling waveform represents the fuel pressure detected by a fuel sensor during a period in which the fuel pressure increases due to a fuel injection rate decrease. The rising waveform represents the fuel pressure detected by the fuel sensor during a period in which the fuel pressure decreases due to a fuel injection rate increase. The falling waveform and the rising waveform are modeled by modeling functions. A reference pressure is computed based on pressure during a specified time period before the falling waveform is generated. An intersection pressure is computed, at which the straight lines expressed by the modeling functions intersect to each other. The maximum fuel injection rate is computed based on a fuel pressure drop from the reference pressure to the intersection pressure.

Fuel injection detecting device

A fuel injection detecting device computes an actual fuel-injection-end timing based on a rising waveform of the fuel pressure detected by a fuel sensor during a period in which the fuel pressure increases due to a fuel injection rate decrease. The rising waveform is modeled by a modeling formula. A reference pressure Ps(n) is substituted into the modeling formula, whereby a timing 'te' is obtained as the fuel-injection-end timing.

A fuel injection detecting device computes an actual fuel-injection-start timing based on a falling waveform of the fuel pressure detected by a fuel sensor during a period in which the fuel pressure decreases due to a fuel injection rate increase. The falling waveform is modeled by a modeling formula. A reference pressure is substituted into the modeling formula, whereby a timing is obtained as the fuel-injection-start timing.
