According to one implementation, a preform shaping method for producing a preform having a web, a flange, and a chamfered portion includes: pressing a first portion of a laminated body of fiber sheets by sandwiching the first portion between a first mold and a second mold; and pressing a second portion of the laminated body of the fiber sheets after pressing the first portion. The first portion corresponds to the web. The second portion corresponds to the flange. The first mold fits a surface in one side of the web, an inner surface of the chamfered portion and a surface in one side of the flange. The second mold fits a surface in the other side of the web. The second portion is pressed by sandwiching the second portion between the first mold and a third mold.

Preform shaping apparatus, preform shaping method and composite material molding method

A fiber-reinforced resin composite material includes first and second members. The first member includes a first fiber and a first matrix resin. The first fiber includes a reinforcing fiber and is impregnated with the first matrix resin. The reinforcing fiber has a melting point and a tensile strength higher than those of an aliphatic polyamide fiber. The second member includes a stack and a second matrix resin. The stack includes a second fiber and a third fiber filled with the second matrix resin. The second fiber includes the reinforcing fiber. The second matrix resin includes a component common to that of the first matrix resin, and includes a first polyamide resin that includes an aliphatic polyamide resin. The third fiber includes a second polyamide resin that includes an aliphatic polyamide resin and has a melting point higher than that of the first polyamide resin by 7 to 50 degrees centigrade.

Fiber-reinforced resin composite material and method of manufacturing fiber-reinforced resin composite material

In a preform shaping method, a fiber stack is manufactured by stacking a sheet-form fibrous component, at least one of a subsidiary material and a component part that have flexibility is placed on the fiber sack, and a preform that has a shaped configuration is manufactured by pressing and pressurizing, against a mold, the fiber stack provided with the at least one of the subsidiary material or the component part.

Preform shaping method and composite forming method

In a preform shaping method, a fiber stack that has a plurality of fiber layers by stacking sheet-form fibrous components is manufactured and a preform that has a configuration in which a first surface and a second surface one or both of which are curved surfaces are coupled is manufactured by bending the sheet-form fibrous components after or while stacking the sheet-form fibrous components. A first sheet-form fibrous component and a second sheet-form fibrous component fiber length directions of which are set to such different directions before a bending process as to be target fiber length directions after the bending process and which form the first surface and the second surface, respectively, after the bending process are disposed in order to form at least one fiber layer of the plurality of fiber layers.

According to one implementation, a preform shaping apparatus includes at least one mold and at least one pin. The at least one mold is a mold for placing and shaping a laminated body of fiber sheets which is a material of a fiber reinforced plastic. The at least one pin prevents the fiber sheets from being misaligned by stinging the laminated body of the fiber sheets with the at least one pin. Further, according to one implementation, a preform shaping method for producing a preform includes: placing a laminated body of fiber sheets, which is a material of a fiber reinforced plastic, on at least one mold; shaping the laminated body of the fiber sheets; and preventing the fiber sheets from being misaligned by stinging the laminated body of the fiber sheets with at least one pin.

A method of shaping a preform includes: laminating plural dry tape members each including a binder and fiber while partly heat-sealing the dry tape members with the binder to provisionally fasten each dry tape member to an adjacent dry tape member; bending the dry tape members having been provisionally fastened, along a bending line; and heat-sealing the dry tape members having been bent with the binder to manufacture a shaped dry preform. At the laminating, at least one of the followings is satisfied: (i) an amount of heat-sealing with the binder is changed in an area along the bending line, (ii) an amount of heat-sealing with the binder is different between portions adjacent to and on opposite sides of the area along the bending line, or (iii) an amount of heat-sealing with the binder is different between portions adjacent to each other at the bending line as a border.

Method of shaping preform and method of molding composite material

A preform includes a stack of a plurality of fiber materials. The fiber materials each include a first fiber layer including a reinforcing fiber and having a sheet shape, in which the reinforcing fiber has a melting point and a tensile strength that are higher than a melting point and a tensile strength of an aliphatic polyamide fiber, and a second fiber layer including the aliphatic polyamide fiber and having a sheet shape, and provided on at least one of surfaces of the first fiber layer. The aliphatic polyamide fiber includes a first polyamide resin and a second polyamide resin having a melting point higher than a melting point of the first polyamide resin by 7 degrees centigrade to 50 degrees centigrade.

At least a fraction of the layers that constitute the stack are formed by mounting sheet-shape fibrous preparations on the first figuring surface or the fibrous preparation adjacent in a stacking direction so that the fibrous preparations partly overlap and bending portions of the fibrous preparations mounted so as to overlap onto the second figuring surface.
