The present invention provides a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet including a bubble-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; and a releasable liner protecting a pressure-sensitive adhesive surface of the bubble-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, said releasable liner comprising at least a releasably treated layer formed by an ionizing radiation-curable silicone type releasing agent, in which the releasably treated layer formed by the ionizing radiation-curable silicone type releasing agent is employed onto a pressure-sensitive adhesive surface on the heavier releasable side. The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet may employ a bubble-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed by a bubble-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive composition in the form in which a gas component is mixed in a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition.

Double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet

The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet is a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet containing a support having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the both surfaces thereof, characterized in that the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet has a total thickness including the thickness of the support and the two pressure-sensitive adhesive layers formed on the both surfaces of the support of 0.003 mm or more and less than 0.03 mm and a breaking strength of from 2 to 26 MPa/10 mm-width. The support preferably has a thickness of from 0.002 to 0.012 mm. As the support, plastic films (especially, a polyethylene terephthalate film) are suitable. The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet may have a length of 5 m or more and have a roll-wound form.

A pressure-sensitive adhesive label has a base having an information indication portion on its one surface thereof, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on another surface of the base. After peeling a release liner, the label is stuck on an outer surface of a housing of the hard disk drive to reduce noise generated when the hard disk drive is driven. The release liner for coating the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has an antistatic function and a cut line. The adhesive force of the adhesive layer is reduced by heating. The label has a surface density of not lower than 0.18 (kg/m).

Provided is a release liner formed of a plastic film having a laminated structure of at least three layers, described specifically, as two surface layers, (A) a release functioning layer composed of a polyethylene film having a density of 0.88 to 0.92 g/cm and a melt index not greater than 10 g/10 minutes and (B) a surface film layer having a thermal linear expansion coefficient similar to that of said release functioning layer and, as an intermediate layer, (C) a reinforcement layer having a melting point not less than 120&deg; C. By forming a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the surface of the release functioning layer (A) of the above-described release liner, a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet can be obtained. The release liner exhibits good release function without using a silicone-base releasing agent and has heat resistance sufficient for not causing deformation such as curl even when heat is applied to the liner.
