A piezoelectric device which is applicable, for example, as a drive source for a fuel injector comprises a plurality of piezoelectric layers and a plurality of inner electrode layers stacked alternately with each other. The outer peripheral side surfaces are formed with a pair of outer electrode layers electrically turned on alternately in such a manner that the inner electrode layers located adjacently to each other through the piezoelectric layers have different polarities. Second outer electrode layers configured of a conductive material having a larger breaking elongation than the first outer electrode layers, respectively, are formed on a pair of the first outer electrode layers.

The image information displaying system, which is inexpensive, long in service life, superior in eye-catching effect and low in running cost, consumes less energy and is controlled by a central control unit connected thereto through a communication line. The lower-end of the hologram screen is 80 to 180 cm from the floor level.

A hologram has a hologram element,containing a photopolymer and a cover film,and cover plate,which cover its surfaces. An adhesive,is used for bonding the cover film to the hologram element and the cover plate to the hologram element. There is provided a hologram with excellent heat resistance. The hologram comprises a hologram film (10) in which a diffraction grating has been recorded, a substrate (11) situated on one side of the hologram film (10) via a bonding material (13), and a polymer film (12) situated on the other side of the hologram film (10) via a bonding material (13), wherein the thickness of the polymer film (12) is no greater than 100 .mu.m. Otherwise, the polymer film (12) is subjected to prior heat treatment. There is further provided a production process for holograms with minimal appearance defects. The process comprises preparing a photopolymer (210) coated onto a substrate (211) and affixing the photopolymer surface (301) onto a photographed object original (213), exposing it to laser light to converting it into a hologram (201), then releasing the hologram (201) from the photographed object original (213) to expose the hologram surface (302) and finally affixing a protective film (215) onto the hologram surface (302), such that the bonding strength A between the substrate (211) and the hologram (201) is greater than the bonding strength B between the hologram (201) and the protective film (215).

A hologram has a hologram element 3 containing a photopolymer and a cover film 22 and cover plate 21 which cover its surfaces. An adhesive 1 is used for bonding the cover film to the hologram element and the cover plate to the hologram element. The hologram has excellent humidity resistance, chemical resistance, solvent resistance and heat resistance, prevents coloration, can maintain its holographic properties and allows easy repositioning of the hologram element.

A method of producing a holographic optical element which is capable of imparting complex corrections to the holographic optical element and of effecting the exposure using a short optical path permitting little disturbance to be infiltrated. A correction holographic optical element 13 for correcting the characteristics of the holographic optical element is disposed in at least one of the optical paths of an object beam 35 and a reference beam 36 that fall on a photosensitive material 11. The object beam 35 may be one obtained by reflecting the reference beam 36 by a reflection-type holographic optical element such as a reflection-type master holographic optical element 12. In the case of a holographic optical element used for the head-up display, the correction holographic optical element 13 may be given characteristics for correcting the curvature of the windshield or characteristics for correcting color aberration.

A hologram element includes an optically transparent base plate having first and second opposite surfaces. A film of a diffraction grating is provided on the first surface of the base plate. A nonreflective member is provided on the second surface of the base plate via a dipping process. The nonreflective member includes one of a film including SiO.sub.2 particles and a film of MgF.sub.2. It is preferable that the SiO.sub.2 particles have diameters of 10-150 nm. The diffraction grating film includes, for example, one of a gelatine film, a photopolymer film, and a photoresist film. The base plate includes, for example, a flexible resin film. It is preferable that the flexible resin film is made of a material selected from the group consisting of amorphous polyolefine, polycarbonate (PC), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), and perfluoroalkoxypolyethylene (PFA).
