An information processing system comprises: an image acquisition device acquiring subject eye image data of a patient; and a first information processing device communicating with the image acquisition device and storing the image data, the image acquisition device transmits, to the first information processing device, the image data and first transmission data including additional information used to identify an image diagnosis device performing image diagnosis on the image data, the first information processing device: stores the image data when receiving the first transmission data from the image acquisition device; identifies, based on the additional information, a first image diagnosis device performing a first image diagnosis on the image data and/or a second image diagnosis device performing a second image diagnosis differing from the first image diagnosis on the image data; and transmits second transmission data including the image data to the identified image diagnosis device.

An X-ray CT image reconstruction method includes turning a fan-shaped X-ray beam, which is thick and irradiated to a subject, about the subject, detecting projection data items concerning an X-ray beam, which is transmitted by the subject, with the X-ray beam turned by a plurality of successive angles of rotation, enhancing fan-beam data, which includes projection data items detected with the X-ray beam turned by the angles of rotation, so as to sharpen projection data contained in the fan-beam data and acquired along each projection line, producing parallel-beam data, which has values thereof defined along parallel projection lines, in relation to each angle of projection using the enhanced fan-beam data, and reconstructing an image using the parallel-beam data.

A data acquisition device, which has an X-ray detector including a plurality of channel widths at which channels at its central portion are fine and channels at its peripheral portions are coarse or rough, and a plurality of data acquisition ranges including a data acquisition range wide in a channel direction and a data acquisition range narrow in the channel direction, and which is capable of performing switching among the data acquisition ranges for each data acquisition, is used to perform data acquisition on the channels fine at the central portion in the data acquisition range narrow in the channel direction, whereby an X-ray CT apparatus is provided which is capable of performing high-resolution imaging and brings about more satisfactory image quality.

With the object of improving image quality while keeping short the time taken to reconstruct the first X-ray tomogram at the time of start of scanning in its real-time display mode, an X-ray CT apparatus having a rotary unit for causing an X-ray source and an X-ray detector for detecting X-rays from the X-ray source to rotate integrally around a subject, is provided with a full data reconstructing device for reconstructing tomograms on the basis of penetrating X-ray data of each view detected during a full turn around the subject, a segment data reconstructing device for reconstructing tomograms on the basis of penetrating X-ray data of each view detected during a turn by (180&plus;&agr;) degrees, and a change-over device for counting the tomograms reconstructed after the start of scanning, and changing over between the full data reconstructing device and segment data reconstructing device according to the count.
