An inner panel of a lift gate includes an outer-frame forming portion comprising a pair of side edge frame portions including a pair of pillar portions and a lower end frame portion integrally formed at the side frame portions, an inner-frame forming portion formed at a lower edge portion of a window opening to connect to the outer-frame forming portion, and a panel portion covering over a portion enclosed by the outer-frame forming portion and the inner-frame forming portion. The panel portion comprises an outside panel portion provided to contact the outer panel and an inside panel portion integrally formed at the outside panel portion to connect to the outside panel portion and project toward a vehicle-compartment side beyond the outside panel portion and connects to the outer-frame forming portion and the inner-frame forming portion of said inner panel.

Structure of lift gate for vehicle

A structure of a tail gate is formed by bonding peripheral edge portions of an inner panel and an outer panel to each other, and covering a rear portion of a vehicle body so the tail gate is able to freely open and close. A cover is arranged in an inner side of the inner panel, and a lock apparatus is provided with a latch capable of engaging with a striker fixed to a vehicle body. The lock apparatus is disposed between the inner panel and the cover.

A vehicle assembly line has a first line for a first mobile conveyor and a second line for a second mobile conveyor and the first line is connected to the second line with two hanger conveyor lines. Two working robots are disposed to the first mobile conveyor, one being positioned within a cabin of an upper body section and the other being positioned in front of the upper body section. The second mobile conveyor has a mechanism for altering a posture of the upper body section and a height position thereof. To the upper body section are mounted various small parts such as grommets with the first working robot during the course of running the first mobile conveyor in the first line. The second line has plural stations for mounting larger parts such as bumpers to the upper body section which is loaded on the second mobile conveyor and whose posture and position are aligned with the working robots disposed in the plural stations before entering the stations. The upper body section is conveyed again to the first line in which the upper vehicle body section is mounted with various parts and the various parts are fastened with bolts tightly, followed by mounting seats, etc. Then, lower parts such as an engine and suspension are mounted to the assembled vehicle body section.

Disclosed is the method for coating automotive vehicle bodies, in which the upper vehicle body section and the floor member, constituting a vehicle body of the automotive vehicle, are conveyed simultaneously by the same conveying device at least up to the undercoating step for coating them with an undercoating paint. After the undercoating step, the floor member are separated from the upper vehicle body section at an appropriate timing, followed by separate conveyance to the following step.

A resinous molding for a vehicle body structure comprises a generally elongated body made of synthetic resin and having a cavity defined therein. The cavity extending inwardly from one surface of the elongated body and generally over the length of the molding. It also comprises a plurality of generally rectangular thin-walled flexible ribs integrally formed with the elongated body and protruding within the cavity from the bottom of the cavity with the longitudinal axis of each of the flexible ribs oriented generally widthwise of the molding. One side face of each of the flexible ribs opposite to the bottom of the cavity is adapted to be bonded to an outer surface of the vehicle body structure.

A driving mechanism for selectively disposing retractable lamps of a motor vehicle pivotally connected to a body at a portion thereof, either in a housing or in an exposed position, which mechanism has a first paired link-rod to be driven by a motor, and a second paired link-rod pivotally interconnecting the first paired link-rod and the retractable lamp, with one end of the second link being pivotally connected to the body, wherein respective apparent longitudinal axes of the first and the second paired link-rod are arranged to be aligned when the retractable lamp is brought into the exposed position thereof. Additionally, an axis passing through one end of the second link pivotally connected to the body and a pivot joint at which the first rod is pivotally connected with the second link, and the apparent longitudinal axis of the first paired link-rod are further arranged to meet each other at right angles.
