A slide fastener tape member includes a tape body and a core string portion disposed at a tape side edge portion of the tape body along a length direction. The core string portion is formed by fixing a string member at the tape side edge portion along the length direction by machine sewing. The string member is fixed linearly such that at least one thread used for machine sewing crosses while contacting an outer peripheral surface of the string member without being pierced by a needle thread of machine sewing. Thus, since the core string portion can be easily provided by fixing the string member to the tape body having desired properties at a later stage, the value-added tape members can be easily manufactured at a relatively low cost.

There is provided an element for a fastener chain. The element includes a body portion fixed on a core portion of a tape, a neck portion, a pair of shoulder portions, an engaging head portion, and a pair of groove portions. As viewed in the width direction, at least one of the pair of shoulder portions and the pair of groove portions is configured to be inclined with respect to a reference direction, which is an extending direction of the core portion on which the body portion is fixed.

A slide fastener with a separable bottom end stop, which can be handled easily by everyone and closed or separated easily. The slide fastener includes a slider through which fastener element rows of a pair of right and left fastener tapes pass; and a separable bottom end stop including a fitting body provided on one of the fastener tapes and a pivot stopper body provided on the other fastener tape and being capable of engaging with the fitting body. A fastener element for a concealed type slide fastener having a substantially U shaped section including a side edge portion mounting groove for a fastener tape, comprising: a C shaped base portion; flat first and second tape nipping portions extended substantially in parallel from respective front ends of the C shaped base portion; and a coupling portion integrated with an engaging face side on the opposite side to a tape nipping face of the second tape nipping portion, wherein the first tape nipping portion has expanded portions expanded back and forth in a coupling direction, and a front end face of the first tape nipping portion is formed wider than a front end face of the second tape nipping portion, thereby having excellent concealed property and coupling strength and capable of preventing generation of a gap between right and left fastener tapes even if pulling stress is applied.

A fastener chain, in which fastener elements each formed into a single unit of synthetic resin are attached at a constant interval along opposing side edges of a pair of fastener tapes, a front surface portion and a rear surface portion are provided on the front and rear sides of the fastener element, the surface of the front surface portion is formed into a curved face entirely swelling out circularly and upward while the rear surface portion is formed into a flat plane which is entirely even, and the front surface and the rear surface of the fastener element may have different shapes or the same shape so as to secure a fastener chain having an excellent tactile feel and beautiful appearance.

An end stop which does not induce separation or deterioration in its mounting portion by fusing part thereof. A linear fastener element row formed of synthetic resin is mounted on a side edge of a fastener tape, and a rod-like body of synthetic resin is inserted into the interior of plural fastener elements located at a final end of the element row. A fused portion is proved by welding only a side of an outer end portion of the rod-like body while a non-fused portion is formed without welding a side of an inner end portion, so the end stop as a top or bottom end stop is produced. The non-fused portion absorbs an impact when a slider collides with the end stop and induces no deterioration in sewing yarn and such. The fused portion integrates the end stop with fastener elements firmly, so a rigid structured end stop is completed.

A top end stop of a slide fastener is attached to fastener stringers on a box pin side, and has a first side face opposing a guide column of a slider and a second side face on an opposite side. The first side face has first and second opposing side faces intersecting at an angle of 140&#xb0; to 150&#xb0;, and an interval A between the first opposing side face and the second side face being larger than a width C of an element aisle of the slider. An interval B between the second opposing side face and the second side face being equal to or smaller than the width C. A cut-out is provided as a stopper at a position on the second side face at a width E from the first opposing side face.
