According to an aspect, a display device includes: a display panel that includes a first light-transmitting substrate, a second light-transmitting substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the first and second light-transmitting substrates, and has an active region capable of displaying images and peripheral regions outside the active region; a glass base member bonded to the display panel; and a light source disposed so that light enters a side surface of the first light-transmitting substrate, a side surface of the second light-transmitting substrate, or a side surface of the glass base member. The light source includes a light guide and light emitters. At least one of the light emitters is disposed in each of first regions that overlap regions obtained by extending the peripheral regions located on opposite sides of the active region.

Display device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first transparent substrate, a display panel, a first fixing member, and a first light source unit. The first transparent substrate has a first light incident surface which is a side surface, and is formed to be curved. The display panel has flexibility. The first fixing member fixes the display panel to the first transparent substrate. The first light source unit is opposed to the first light incident surface to emit light to the first light incident surface.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate having a first surface, a second surface on a side opposite to the first surface, and a first side surface which connects the first surface with the second surface, a second substrate having a second side surface and opposed to the first surface, an IC chip mounted on the first substrate, and a first heat radiation layer which is in contact with the second surface to radiate heat generated from the IC chip. The first substrate includes an extending portion which extends further than the second side surface, the IC chip is located on the first surface at the extending portion, and the first heat radiation layer overlaps the IC chip.

A display device includes a display panel including a polymer-dispersed liquid crystal layer between a pair of substrates, a transparent substrate disposed on at least one side of the display panel, and a lighting unit configured to project light from the side of the transparent substrate. The lighting unit includes at least one light source, at least one light guide incident with the light emitted from the light source, and a support member having an L-shaped cross section and extending along one side of the display panel to which the at least one light source and the at least one light guide are fixed. The at least one light source and the at least one light guide are disposed on different sides of the support member. The lighting unit is fixed to the transparent substrate or the display panel by the support member.

Lighting unit

A lens portion of a display device includes: a first lens arranged between a light guide plate and a light-emitting element portion, and having a plurality of first prisms arranged on a first light-exiting surface; and a second lens arranged between the first lens and the light-emitting element portion, and having a plurality of second prisms arranged on a second light-exiting surface arranged at a position facing a light-entering surface. The first lens includes a plurality of diffusing prisms arranged on the light-entering surface and capable of diffusing light emitted from the second lens and introducing said light into the first lens.

Display device and light source device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate having a first surface, a second surface, and a first side surface, a second substrate having a second side surface and being opposed to the first surface, a light source provided along the second side surface, a wiring substrate opposed to the second surface, a first adhesive layer bonding the second surface to the wiring substrate, and a flexible wiring substrate electrically connecting the first substrate with the wiring substrate. The first substrate includes an extending portion that includes the first side surface and extends further than the second side surface, the flexible wiring substrate is mount on the extending portion.

A right angle coaxial connector is fitted into a corresponding connector in a fitting direction substantially perpendicular to a direction that a connecting cable extends. The right angle coaxial connector includes an outer conductor having a cylindrical portion with an axial line in the fitting direction and a lid portion covering an inner space of the cylindrical portion and extending over a covering portion of the connecting cable. The lid portion is integrated with the cylindrical portion at a part of a periphery of the cylindrical portion through a bent connecting portion. The lid portion includes a holding portion at an extending end thereof for pressingly holding the connecting cable. The cylindrical portion includes engaging portions for engaging the corresponding connector. One of the engaging portions located at a position where the cable extends has an engaging amount larger than that of the other engaging portions at other positions.

Coaxial connector

A coaxial connector comprises a plug-side coaxial member (,) to be plugged with a mating connector (,) and consisting of a plug-side central conductor (,) and a plug-side outer conductor (,) and a base-side coaxial member (,) to be attached to an object and consisting of a base-side central conductor (,) and a base-side outer conductor (,) such that the plug-side coaxial member is movable in the radial direction with respect to the base-side coaxial member. The plug-side and the base-side outer conductors (,) and (,) are in contact with each other and cover almost all the plug-side central conductor (,) and a portion of the base-side central conductor (,) between the contact point with the plug-side central conductor and the connection point with the object.
