This coating liquid contains: aerogel particles; a water-soluble polymer having a hydrophobic group; a binder resin; and a liquid medium, wherein the water-soluble polymer comprises a cellulose based resin having an alkyl group having 6 to 26 carbon atoms. The coating liquid is capable of forming a coating film having a high filling rate of aerogel particles and an excellent film strength and is excellent in terms of the dispersibility of aerogel particles.

The present invention relates to a maleimide resin composition containing (A) one or more selected from the group consisting of a maleimide compound having one or more N-substituted maleimide groups and a derivative thereof; and (B) a polymer having a hydrocarbon chain or a polyether chain in a main chain thereof, wherein the component (A) contains (A1) a maleimide compound having one or more N-substituted maleimide groups and a molecular weight of less than 600 and (A2) a maleimide compound having one or more N-substituted maleimide groups and a molecular weight of 600 or more. There is disclosed a magnetic ferrite material obtained by calcining a raw material, forming a calcined powder into a desired shape and sintering to contain Fe O , MnO and ZnO as main components, the magnetic ferrite material with a low power loss is realized by setting the coefficient of variation (CV value) of the content of a Ca component precipitated along a grain boundary in a range of 1 to 60%, and the magnetic ferrite material is manufactured by calcining the raw material containing Fe O , MnO and ZnO as the main components to obtain the calcined powder in which that the S component content is in a range of 1 to 200 ppm, and forming the calcined powder into the desired shape and sintering.

An electrically conductive member constituted by at least one member of the group consisting of carbon black, graphite and carbon fiber, a powdered or granulated material of an inorganic hollow body and inorganic reinforcing fiber are bonded to one another by an inorganic adhesive agent to thereby form an electric wave absorber. The electric wave absorber exhibits excellent electric wave absorbing power because of both the electrically conductive member and the powdered or granulated material of the inorganic hollow body which are contained in the electric wave absorber. The electric wave absorber has excellent mechanical strength because of the inorganic reinforcing fiber which is contained in the electric wave absorber. The electric wave absorber exhibits excellent nonflammable characteristic because of both the powdered or granulated material of the inorganic hollow body and the inorganic reinforcing fiber which are contained in the electric wave absorber. Preferably, the electric wave absorber is provided with a nonflammable layer which is integrally bonded to at least one portion thereof and which is constituted by at least one member of the group consisting of a nonflammable sheet made from a slurry containing sepiolite as a main component, and an inorganic coating agent layer.

An incombustible honeycomb radio absorptive material is disclosed, forming a honeycomb structure that is an aggregate of many cells, wherein (i) the honeycomb structure contains a hydrated inorganic compound and an electrically conductive material, or (ii) the honeycomb structure contains a hydrated inorganic compound and has an electrically conductive layer made of an electrically conductive material being formed on the surface of the structure. A radio absorber is also disclosed, wherein a large number of the incombustible honeycomb radio absorptive materials are disposed on a shield panel or a ferrite tile covering he shield panel is provided. The incombustible honeycomb radio absorptive material and the radio absorber using it according to the invention are suitably used for an anechoic chamber and are excellent in the fire resistance and the radio absorption effect.

Since the radio wave absorbent of the present invention has the main component of a magnesium-zinc system ferrite material containing 45 to 50 mol % of iron oxide, 7 to 19.7 mol % of magnesium oxide, 24 to 28.5 mol % of zinc oxide, 4 to 16 mol % of copper oxide, and 0.1 to 6 mol % of manganese oxide, a matching thickness is less than 8 mm, and the total weight of the radio wave absorbent for use in the inner wall of a radio wave dark room or the outer wall of a building or the like is remarkably reduced as compared with the radio wave absorbent obtained by sintering the conventional magnesium-zinc system ferrite material. Moreover, since the radio wave absorbent can be obtained by sintering the material at a relatively low sintering temperature of about 950 to 1150&deg; C., the manufacture cost can be reduced relative to the radio wave absorbent obtained by sintering the conventional nickel-zinc system ferrite material.

There is disclosed an MnMgCuZn ferrite material which contains ranges of 46.5 to 50.4 mol % of iron oxide, 10.5 to 22.0 mol % of magnesium oxide, 22.5 to 25.0 mol % of zinc oxide, 6.0 to 16.0 mol % of copper oxide, and 0.1 to 3.5 mol % of manganese oxide. Advantages of an MnMgCuZn ferrite material that resistivity is relatively high and material cost is low are utilized to realize a superior MnMgCuZn ferrite material which is much smaller in magnetic loss than conventional materials of the same series and which has a sufficient saturated magnetic flux density.

Provided are an Mn--Zn ferrite in which the core loss is low and Bs is high at high temperatures; a transformer capable of being small-sized and suitable to use at high temperatures; and a method for efficiently driving the transformer. Also provided is a transformer capable of being small-sized and suitable to use in a broad temperature range including high temperatures. Further provided are a high-efficiency transformer capable of being small-sized, in which the core loss in the ferrite core is low and the saturation magnetic flux density is high therein at the temperature at which the transformer is driven; and a high-efficiency driving method for the transformer. Depending on its use, Mn--Zn ferrite to be the ferrite core for the transformers comprises, as the essential components, specific amounts of Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3, ZnO and MnO, and, as the side components, specific amounts of SiO.sub.2, CaCO.sub.3, Nb.sub.2 O.sub.5 and ZrO.sub.2. The core of the transformers is made of the Mn--Zn ferrite.
