An oil pump for an automatic transmission includes a pump body having a pump chamber, a pump cover disposed so as to oppose to the pump body, an inner rotor disposed in the pump chamber and driven by a driving force from a torque converter and an outer rotor meshed with the inner rotor. The pump body includes a pump suction port, a pump discharge port a first oil, passage for supplying oil from a oil pan to the pump suction port, a second oil passage for returning excess oil of a first regulator to the first oil passage and a third oil passage having an outlet port for returning excess oil of a second regulator to the pump suction port.

A clutch device for an automatic transmission includes an input member, a first output member, a second output member, a first clutch mechanism formed between the input member and the first output member, a first piston movable in a first axial direction for engaging the first clutch mechanism to transmit rotation torque from the input member to the first output member by receiving oil pressure, and a second clutch mechanism formed between the input member and the second output member radially outwardly of the first clutch mechanism. The first clutch mechanism and the second clutch mechanism are located in axially overlapping relation to each. A second piston is movable toward the second axial direction that is inverse to the first axial direction for engaging the second clutch mechanism to transmit rotation torque from the input member to the second output member by receiving oil pressure.

Clutch device for an automatic transmission

A hydraulic accumulator for vehicle transmission includes a valve body incorporated into the transmission casing, a piston disposed in a space provided in the valve body and dividing the space into first and second pressure chambers and a cylindrical sleeve member for closing the space. The sleeve member includes a cylindrical portion formed integral with a cover portion for slidable engagement with the piston. The thickness of the cylindrical portion is variable and permits the changing of the effective area difference between the opposite sides of the piston so that desired pressure characteristics can be obtained.
