When an inductor component is adopted as an inductor for a DC-DC converter, high efficiency is achieved at a light load, and a large current is also handled. An inductor component includes a body containing metal magnetic powder containing an iron element, and an inductor provided in the body and having both ends exposed from the body. In a DC superposition characteristic curve of the inductor, a first steady region and a second steady region exist as a steady region, and a transition region exists between the first steady region and the second steady region.

Inductor component, DC-DC converter, and method for manufacturing inductor component

A magnetic material is formed of an aggregate of magnetic particles. When a magnetic particle is rotated by 360/n degrees (n is an any integer equal to or greater than 6) around a gravity center position of the magnetic particle in a planar region, an area of the magnetic particle after the rotation overlaps with an area of the magnetic particle before the rotation by 90% or more. In the planar region, gravity center positions of from nine to eleven magnetic particles are on a band portion in a rectangular shape. For the magnetic particles in the planar region, when a number-based 50% cumulative frequency distribution of maximum lengths in a direction passing through respective gravity center positions is defined as α, a 10% cumulative frequency distribution is equal to or greater than 0.6α, and a 90% cumulative frequency distribution is equal to or less than 1.4α.

Magnetic material and inductor

An inductor array component including an element body and a first straight wiring line and a second straight wiring line that are arranged on the same plane inside the element body. The element body includes a first region that is located on a first side of the first straight wiring line or the second straight wiring line in a normal direction that is normal to the plane, a second region that is located on a second side of the first straight wiring line or the second straight wiring line in the normal direction that is normal to the plane, and a third region that is located between the first straight wiring line and the second straight wiring line. The greater one out of the magnetoresistance of the first region and the magnetoresistance of the second region is greater than or equal to the magnetoresistance of the third region.

An inductor component comprising a laminated body having a magnetic layer containing a resin and a metal magnetic powder contained in the resin; an inductor wiring disposed in the laminated body; and an external terminal exposed from the laminated body. The external terminal includes a metal part and a resin part, and in a cross section of the external terminal, the resin part is enclosed in the metal part.

An inductor component includes a multilayer body including a magnetic layer and a spiral wiring line disposed in the multilayer body. The magnetic layer includes a base resin, a metal magnetic powder, and a non-magnetic powder. The base resin has voids, and the metal magnetic powder and the non-magnetic powder are contained in the base resin. There is a particle of the metal magnetic powder that is in contact with at least one of the voids and with the non-magnetic powder.
