An image forming apparatus includes: a holding unit that holds a recording medium transported; a circumferential rotation unit that circumferentially rotates with the holding unit fixed, and constitutes part of a transport path along which the recording medium is transported; an image former that forms an image on the recording medium at an image formation position on a circumferential rotational path of the circumferential rotation unit; a pass point at which the recording medium is passed on the circumferential rotational path; and a receiving point which is provided on a same side as the pass point with respect to the image formation position, and at which the recording medium is received from the circumferential rotational path.

Image forming apparatus including a circumferential rotation unit

An image forming apparatus includes: an apparatus body; an image forming unit that forms a toner image on a recording medium; a first transport part that transports the recording medium to the image forming unit along a feed path extending from one side toward the other side in the horizontal direction, the feed path being a path along which the recording medium transported by the first transport part passes, and that includes a portion extending toward the one side beyond the image forming unit; and a second transport part that transports the recording medium from the image forming unit to the outside of the apparatus body along a discharge path extending from the other side toward one side in the horizontal direction and that includes a portion extending toward the one side beyond the image forming unit, the discharge path and the feed path at least partially overlapping each other in the vertical direction.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus housing, and an imaging module that is removably installed in the apparatus housing. The imaging module includes an image carrier unit that is capable of carrying an image, an image writer unit that writes an image on the image carrier unit, and a module housing that registers and removably holds the image carrier unit and the image writer unit. A fastening unit that registers the module housing with respect to the apparatus housing and that removably fastens the module housing is disposed between the apparatus housing and the module housing.

A light irradiation device includes a light emitting unit, a cooling unit, a supply unit, and a driving unit. The light emitting unit emits light while generating heat. The cooling unit includes a channel through which a coolant flows, a first surface on which the light emitting unit is mounted, and a second surface that faces a direction opposite to the first surface. The supply unit is disposed facing the second surface in one direction that the second surface faces and supplies the coolant to the cooling unit. The driving unit is disposed facing the second surface in the one direction and includes a driving board that drives the light emitting unit.

Provided is a grounding structure including a grounding member that is grounded, an electrical conduction member that includes a protection section which is placed to protect a protection object, and an elastic portion which is connected to the protection section and is elastically deformed, the electrical conduction member being conductible, and a holding section that is formed in the grounding member and that holds the elastic portion in the grounding member by using an elastic force of the elastic portion, wherein the holding section and the elastic portion contact with each other on both sides of a direction in which the elastic force of the elastic portion acts.

Grounding structure

A sheet transport device includes a device body that transports a sheet; a pair of transport rollers that come into contact with each other and transport the sheet toward a downstream side in a transport direction of the sheet; a transport member that guides and transports the sheet toward the transport rollers; and an open and close member that opens and closes a side surface of the device body. One of the transport rollers is provided at the device body and the other transport roller is provided at the transport member, and the transport member is rotatable around an axis parallel to the transport rollers. When the open and close member moves to an open position at which the side surface is open, the open and close member rotates around the axis and the contact between the transport rollers is allowed to be released.
