There is provided a separation analysis method for analyzing a sample component s included in a sample liquid by introducing the sample liquid into a separation flow path filled with a flow path liquid, the method comprising: obtaining a correction factor representing a proportion of a time period from the first point in time when the sample liquid is introduced into the separation flow path, to the second point in time when an interface between the flow path liquid and the sample liquid reaches a predetermined position at the separation flow path, with respect to a time period from the first point in time to the third point in time when an optical characteristic value of the sample component is measured at the predetermined position, and correcting the measured optical characteristic value with the correction factor.

An analysis device that includes a placement section, a pressing member, and a measurement member, has an analysis kit including a chip provided with a capillary through which a sample flows and a cartridge superimposed on the chip, and in which a liquid reservoir placed therein to enable a component present in sample can be measured in a state in which the chip and the cartridge have been fitted together. The analysis kit is placed on the placement section. The pressing member presses the analysis kit in a direction in which the cartridge is superimposed on the chip to sandwich the analysis kit between the pressing member and the placement section, and to fit the chip and the cartridge together. The measurement member that measures the component present in the sample in the analysis kit in which the chip and the cartridge have been fitted together.

An analysis method using a microchip which is provided with a capillary flow path, and a sample reservoir connected to the capillary flow path, in which the capillary flow path is filled with a first liquid for electrophoresis, and a second liquid containing a sample is stored in the sample reservoir, and including a pressurization process in which the first liquid is pressurized into the capillary flow path from a side of the capillary flow path that is opposite from the side connected to the sample reservoir, and a separation process in which a voltage is applied between the sample reservoir storing the second liquid and the capillary flow path filled with the first liquid, such that components in the sample contained in the second liquid move in the capillary flow path and the components are separated in the capillary flow path.

An analytical tool is provided for analysis of a sample by capillary electrophoresis. The analytical tool includes an inlet reservoir into which a sample is introduced, a capillary tube in communication with the inlet reservoir, a filter through which a liquid from the inlet reservoir passes, an enlarged portion undergoing a sudden increase in a cross-sectional area and being in communication with the inlet reservoir and the capillary tube, and a pressure fluctuation reducer for preventing pressure fluctuation at the enlarge portion from affecting a liquid in the capillary tube.

Analytical tool and analytical system

An analytical tool for use in analysis of a sample is provided. The analytical tool includes a first unit and a second unit. The first unit has an analysis portion where analysis is performed. The second unit, configured to be coupled with the first unit, has a liquid reservoir for confining a particular liquid used for the analysis of the sample. When the first unit and the second unit are coupled, a fluid passage for conducting the particular liquid from the liquid reservoir into the first unit is formed by only a part of the first unit, or only a part of the second unit, or a combination of respective parts of the first unit and the second unit.

One embodiment of the invention provides: a microchip including a sample collection section and an analysis section, in which the sample collection section and the analysis section are imparted with both hydrophilicity and a positively-charged layer; an analysis system including the microchip; and a method of producing the microchip. The microchip includes: a sample collection section for collecting a sample; and an analysis section for analyzing the sample. In the microchip, a cationic polymer bonded with a hydrophilization substance is immobilized on inner walls of the sample collection section and the analysis section.

A sample analysis method capable of improving separation accuracy of at least one of hemoglobin A2 and hemoglobin S and downsizing an analysis device is provided. The method includes separating hemoglobin in a sample in an alkaline solution containing a cationic polymer by capillary electrophoresis.

Sample analysis method and solution therefor

A method for analyzing a sample using capillary electrophoresis is provided. By the method, following steps are performed. First, an original sample and an anionic group-containing compound are fixed to form a mixed sample, where the original sample contains an analysis component to be analyzed and a sub component other than the analysis component. A method is provided for analyzing a sample using capillary electrophoresis. According to the method, an electrophoretic liquid filling step is performed for filling a capillary tube with an electrophoretic liquid. In an introducing step, a predetermined amount of sample is introduced to an introducing tank linked to the capillary tube. In a flow step, performed after the introducing step, the sample is caused to flow in the introducing tank, thereby generating a shear flow at a link portion between the capillary tube and the introducing tank.
